Five stars doesn't accurately describe the glee I experience when I know I'm heading there. Child-like glee. I'm forty. Lol... I've only been coming here for 3 years but I go well out of my way to spend time and a bit of money here several times a season. I would drive past any ice cream franchise to come to this family owned business filled with tastes and smells that make your stomach do the chili fries dance/the ice cream dance. You know what I'm talking about...šŸŽ¶šŸ’ƒšŸŸšŸ¦šŸ”šŸŒšŸ’•šŸŽ‰šŸ•ŗšŸŽ¶ They have created a colorful, comfortable outdoor area with games painted right on the picnic table tops and the plants and trees are so pretty. Yesterday I tried Nanaimo ice cream and as usual I regretted not getting the waffle cone because it was SOOOO GOOD. I would have gone back but I had also purchased a tub of another yet untried flavor to share for game night. (Polar Plunge, I hope I got that right) šŸ˜‹ Next visit I know I will go for the chili fries.... Not normally something I eat but HERE is THE PLACE to BE for those!! I'm sure anything on the menu is way delish but I have a whopping amount of allergies and have to stand by the chili fries. The portion size is more than filling and do everyone a favor by bringing someone here for the first time. Sharing is caring! šŸ˜šŸ™šŸ¤—

A Sweet Trip Worth Every Minute! We drive 40 minutes as a family just to visit The Parlour Ice Cream in Thornton—and it’s worth every second of the trip. The quality is top-notch, the portions are huge, and the prices are unbelievably fair. You really get the full package here: great service, great flavors, and that small-town charm you just can’t beat. There’s something special about this place—from the wide variety of flavors to the welcoming, family-friendly vibe. It’s become a little tradition for us, and every visit feels like a treat, not just for the taste buds, but for the whole experience. If you’re an ice cream lover, The Parlour is a must. Just be ready to fall in love with it—and maybe make it your own family tradition too.

You can't miss The Parlour if you are visiting Thornton! I recently visited and had an amazing experience! The variety of flavors is impressive—there’s something for everyone, including non-dairy options and sorbets. The ice cream quality is top-notch, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Located right on the main street, the shop has a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for people-watching. Overall, I highly recommend The Parlour for delicious, high-quality ice cream in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

I’m just going to share exactly what happened today and let you judge for yourself.

We drove half an hour to try this ice cream shop. I told the girl at the front that it was our first time there and asked her to guide us. She kindly explained the options. While she was talking, another girl who was behind her at the register looked at me and laughed. I wasn’t sure what that meant, so I thought maybe she was just being nice, and I gave a polite smile back.

As I was looking up at the menu, I noticed the same girl laughing again—but this time it was clearly a mocking laugh. I glanced at her but stayed quiet. When I looked back at the menu, she did it again, the same mocking way. I finally asked the cashier, ā€œIs she okay?ā€ At that point, the girl stood up, still laughing in that same mocking manner, and walked away.

I even double-checked with the person I was with to make sure it wasn’t just me imagining things. They confirmed it felt like mockery too.

We got back in the car without saying another word and left.

The ice cream? I’ll never know—because after that kind of treatment, there’s no way I’d ever buy anything from a...

The owner kicked us out because our kids didn’t want to sit on the bench!!!!!!! She said when they play around it makes the place STRESSFUL😔 Don’t recommend this place to anyone ever! Reply: Your response is so insulting as you call us wild people who don’t respect the law! Our kids were looking for a bathroom as you said yours is BROKEN while there was NO SIGN sayings the washroom was out of service and she had no choice but wet her pants as she couldn’t find a toilet there! You call our kids WILD because our kids are trying to be kids! We cleaned the benches before leaving and NEVER raised our voices. You were the one yelling in front of others which i do have witnesses You better apologize for calling my kids wild or everyone’s will see how you treat the kids otherwise you are more then welcome to release the vides which you had no permission to take in the first place! If you cant tolerate having kids in ur property, don’t advertise! It was my first and last time in this place! Worst experience for the parents...
