A nice little place by the St John river attached to the Picaroons Brewery . There is an indoor and outdoor seating area. It was a beautiful day so we chose to eat outdoors. After ordering our food at the counter, we chose a table in the shade and waited for our buzzer to go off. I enjoyed the "feels good" salad bowl with bacon. So good! There is a separate shop for Picaroons. Afterwards, a stroll across the walking bridge with lots of photo ops. Several nice looking gluten free options on the menu. This place is also dog friendly so we got to see other folk's furry friends. If I am in Fredericton again this will be a must-stop.

Great scene and beer, but the food is garbage, or close to garbage — and $$$. For the two orders of fish and chips, it was hard to tell where the food ended and the soggy paper plate began - a soggy tasteless mess. The nachos were mouth-puckering covered with a triple-sour trifecta of feta, pickles, and barbecue sauce — a terrible combination. The burrito bowl was the only edible dish, although the way it was served (paper bowl) had nothing to do with a burrito. I’d go again for the beer and scene though, but will certainly pass on the food.

It’s a nice place to hang out and have a beer with an amazing view! The food, on the other hand, is kinda average and a bit too pricey! Nt to mention, it takes forever to get your food 🤨 P.S. You’ll love this place if you’re a dog/cat person 😉

Remarkably inconsistent is the only way to describe 540 North. We've been regulars of Picaroon's Roundhouse for a couple of years now and we never fail to be baffle by the food. More often than not it is stone cold (even something as simple as an order of fries), the fish tacos have ranged from ok to having almost no fish in them, while the burgers have been at times delicious and at others cold with hair in them!

We are done wasting our money at 540 North.

The owners/proprietors should be embarrassed, but they have clearly aligned themselves well: apparently Frederictonians will continue to overlook overpriced sub-par food for the sake of the inviting outdoor patio of the Roundhouse. Picaroons would do well to attract back Fredericton's varied and well regarded food trucks this summer. Then at least we could enjoy a decent meal...

Go for the beer and ambiance. Stay away from the food. They will tell you that it's a half hour wait but its going to be an hour (for a salad and a sandwich)....they will give you cold food that doesn't even match the menu description. The crispy chicken sandwich made of pulled chicken was actually just cubed chicken formed together with melted cheese. Nothing crispy. Nothing pulled. And so bland....and cold...the staff will blame you for ordering during dinner time. Can't make this stuff up. Beer was great and staff in the brewery...
