Dixie Lee Fredericton — Restaurant in Fredericton

Walked up and asked for the daily special. The grouchy old waitress just stares at me. I assume its because she is asking what kind of meat I want. I say I would like a thigh and leg and she says "well you dont want the daily special then do you"

I asked for to clarify and she explained rudely I cant ask for which piece of meat I want. Mind you I only said so because she was staring at me like a zombie. Why is ordering food always so painful. I would enjoy a basic customer service experience where I dont have to deal with whatever issues a cashier has going on.

If I might add while waiting for my food the cashier decided to laugh and joke about a woman she saw at the hospital having a mental health crisis. Some poor woman in the hospital trying to get better and your staff are all standing around laughing about it. It was absolutely sickening to listen to. If my girlfriend didn't ask for this food I would have asked...

My husband, 4 year old and I went here on November 11th. I get a lot of places were closed today and if places were open, workers more than likely didn’t want to work, I get it.... But honestly, don’t treat paying customers like trash. Our order came to $40 that we could have spent else where; but where we have never ate here before, we wanted to give it a try. When I asked if they sold a certain meal, I was told sharply “chicken and fish only”; I’m sorry that my 4 year old asked for a cheeseburger. When our order was up, the number 9 was called out sharply, I wasn’t told to enjoy my meal, if I needed anything, nothing; in fact the worker turned and walked away out back. Thank you for making our first experience a negative one and thank you for treating us so rudely! We will not advise people to come here nor will we ever be back to be treated so poorly. Keep in mind, I just paid your wage, so...

I gave 1 star for the girl that took our order since she was very nice. I would've given none if not for her. Service was EXTREMELY FAST... I like fast but that was not normal fast... We started eating and my husband ask me if I found the taste weird on the chicken. I said it was a little burned but surely must've been the oil taste 🤔 We went there at 2pm on tuesday... We both got sick by 8pm. Am I mean really sick right 🤢💩... We got poisoned. Big indigestion. I can tell you at one point I thought I was dying. We're 2 days later now and we're still not well. Headaches and low energy since we still can't eat much (Just liquids). It was my first time in a Dixie Lee and wanted to try it for a very long time. But let me tell you that I won't even consider going back there ever again in my life. Just wanted to let people know if someone got sick that day and was wondering if anyone else was......
