Dolan's Pub — Restaurant in Fredericton

Food was fantastic and prices were great for what we had. Loved the atmosphere and the service was pretty good too. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I'm just sorry I didn't get his name.

The only negative was that they seemed to have a private function begin shortly after we arrived. Unfortunately no one told us, or said anything about it. We just noticed a group of people setting up at the door after we had already sat down, and to our surprise it turned out to be an improv group. One of the improv people came over while we were eating and asked if we had bought our tickets. We told them we came in for dinner and didn't know what he was talking about. He said okay and he left but we got glances and comments for the rest of our meal. They had at one point stopped the show and asked us to be quiet.... We were hardly being loud. Just trying to talk while we ate. It was really uncomfortable, especially since we were meeting up with an old friend for the first time in years. So it ended up being a pretty disappointing experience but not because of the restaurant. It would have been nice if someone (anyone) warned us about the improv group before we had ordered - but, it is what it is. Food and prices...

I have always loved this place. Unfortunately tonight I grabbed a table and was ridiculed until I left. I asked the bartender if I could pay with debit or cash in any way and he said no. This was a lie. Seated at my table if I waited for my server they would have brought a pos(point of service) machine. After the bartender flicked the lights on at 1:30 I asked if that meant last call, he says yes. I walk up to the bar and ask if I have to pay cash or can use the machine, then the manager? cut in. He was mid size, lean, grey and buzz cut. He said you're done get out of here. I laughed and assumed he was joking... However he came out and confronted me saying "you're just complaining trying to get another drink" I didn't even try to order another drink nor wanted one. After being escorted out, I called an uber and then asked if I could use the restroom before leaving. Once again the response was incredibly hostile and the manager? said I'm going to talk to Barry the owner tomorrow at 3pm about you. You're not gonna be welcome here ever again. I don't live here but have always recommended this place to anyone in the area. Barry this is not how I remembered...

A great spot to have a pint and a few laughs.

Not only can you get everything one would assume you can get from an Irish pub (Guinness, fish n chips, burger, bangers and Mash etc), they have spins on the classics and offer extras such as live music, trivia nights and a nice spot to watch sports if you're into that sort of thing. Today, we had the wings which were standard, Dubliner fries which were a nice and flavourful spin on classic pub fries, but also a nacho I have never experienced anywhere else in the world. It had some of the standard toppings like cheese and peppers, but also an olive tamponade and mussels. A wide array of flavours that kept you guessing in a good way what the next bite was going to be like. The service was impeccable and friendly and the servers today managed to stay very attentive even amongst the world cup hecticness.

Pair all these qualities with it's great location and the live music from their outdoor patio in the summers and it makes Dolan's one of my favourite...
