Taco Boyz — Restaurant in Fredericton

I went to Taco Boys, excited for a good meal, but instead, I got a rude awakening. From the moment I placed my order, it was a mess. First, they didn’t bother telling me they were out of basic ingredients like ground beef and lettuce until after I had ordered. And even when I asked about it, they seemed annoyed, brushing it off by saying they didn’t want to get more because they were "closing soon."

Excuse me? It was over an hour until closing time! The restaurant wasn’t closing that soon, but clearly, the employees were checked out and unwilling to do their jobs. It’s one thing if something is out, but at least warn customers or offer an alternative! I ended up with something I barely wanted, and they still charged the usual $2 extra for guac—because, of course, they’d never be out of that, right?

Taco Boys needs to either hire staff that cares about their customers or train the ones they have to do better. Save your money and go somewhere else; this place isn’t...

Once my favorite take out place, I won't be back. It's unfortunate but this restaurant has been ruined by a lack of attention to detail and general sloppiness. A few examples: the meat for the steak filling isn't properly trimmed leaving hunks of grisle in your burrito. The cilantro is not fully destemmed leaving unpleasant hard bits of stem in your food. The guacamole often is not prepared correctly, leaving hard chunks of unripe avocado. The grill is not well cleaned especially at peak hours meaning that you will sometimes get a burnt residue on a burrito. Even in non-peak hours, I have had my food slightly burnt on the grill because of staff inattention. I could honestly go on, and while each of these things are small they add up to a less than pleasent dining experience. Back in 2018-2019 I would go usually once a week, sometimes more, but something has majorily changed since then and I won't be back until I hear...

Wanted to highly recommend a Fredericton restaurant I just tried today! Literally the best tacos I've ever had. Taco Boyz Fredericton. Right by Montanas. I was there picking up a donation they were kind enough to give to the SPCA auction and saw they had take-home family packs. Enough for six people. You can get beef, chicken, vegetarian and all these amazing toppings and sauces of your choice. I chose a sweet, dark salsa and it was wow!! The taco shells were made of corn flour and so light and crispy and are Gluten friendly so that was amazing!! Their nachos are gluten friendly ( gluten-free, gluten free ) for the google search engine. Everyone in the house LOVED it, new regular place.
