If you like unique flavour combinations and food that just tastes better because the time has gone into its preparation, this spot is for you.
Even if you don't like the above for whatever reason, you should still go here. The owners are very nice and they've designed a thoughtful dining experience that's unique for the area. From their options for the kids such as colouring supplies to taking the time to prepare most things in house, The Feel Good will aptly make you feel good the moment you take your first bite. The restaurant is small, but bright and adds to the overall pleasant feeling of the room.
The Strawberry Fields pancakes are one of a kind for Fredericton and inspired by the Japanese pancake. Topped with strawberries and a generous dollop of whip cream, the cream cheese in the batter compliments it all adding a slight decadence to the dish. The brussel sprouts will have you rethinking everything you've ever thought about them as the sweet maple combines perfectly with the salty miso and light char flavours. The cold noodle salmon salad was large, fresh and salty, perfect to share with the pancakes.
Their house smoked brisket is everything you'd ever want in that cut of meat as are the house made sausages. And they place a generous portion of everything on each dish. The Cubano had a wicked tang and the burnt edges of the thinly sliced meat were just what the sandwich needed to cut through the wonderfully buttered bread. Their regular breakfast is a must if you add their thick house cured bacon as is the eggs benedict with the brisket. Really, you just need to try everything. Even the potatoes aren't standard. Thick cut and boiled in an array of herbs, spices, and onions, you don't even need ketchup.
The boozy coffee is a perfect sweet treat that is reminiscent of a Bailey's coffee but better. The rosé all day was tart and bitter and refreshing and their coffee is strong. Also, their cheesecake was piled so high with blueberries and is quite dense, which just means you'll want to take your time so you have room.

Read moreI really like the decor and the staff is very nice. The washrooms had all the necessities for a good washroom experience, including paper towel and clean facilities. I had the Not Your Basic B, which came with 2 eggs (I chose over-easy), 2 slices of bacon, 2 slices of baguette, some fried potato slices, and a homemade sausage (but it is shaped like a patty). One thing that I would like for them to improve is the homemade sausage because it was very salty. For the price, I would also like bigger portions (the baguette slices and bacon were very small and I have a big appetite). Moreover, we had to wait over 20 minutes for the food, so it turned breakfast into brunch. One of my fellow trippers had the black coffee, and he said that it wasn’t strong enough and tasted a little watered down.
Overall, The Feel Good is a solid restaurant to go to if you are craving a continental breakfast, and it has lots of potential if they...
Read moreImpressive food spot! Worth getting a reservation, and they don't serve your typical food fare (or in a typical way) You can tell this place is run by people who love good food and know how to make it (and surprise you) We had the homefries, eggs and Benny and pancakes. Had our minds blown a couple times with each item we got, very pleasantly surprised, no spot like this in Freddy. May suggest getting mango on the side for the pancakes (or off) as most of the slices appear to be unripened (hard, no flavor) but dish was divine otherwise, especially when the mango pieces were ripe :) Will happily come back, they have excellent portion sizes for the price too. It's nice to go to a place and not only not feel ripped off, but...
