Subway — Restaurant in Gander

The location was clean at the time of my visit. The food items were well stocked and the tables were neat and tidy.

The bathrooms were also clean and the hygiene of the food workers appeared to be apart of the expectation for food handling. They were all in uniform, polite and happy.

There was one younger little boy getting a sandwich today and he wanted one tomato right in the centre of his sandwich with lots of mayo: and the staffers were very patient, working with his changing and adding ingredients with his excitement to have the freedom to choose. I saw today why they are called Sandwich Artists.

The food looked prepared, fresh and tasted great. Veggies were crisp and the bread soft even when toasted. The selection of sauces were all topped up but mine and when one worked called out to another to prepare and bring more: it was replaced right away.

There were I believe 3-4 staff on duty and everyone seem to have a job and fluid flow. The place got a little busier and their pace kept up with the influx. No one complained and everyone seemed to be happy with their orders and staff service.

I appreciated a larger bathroom as some places it can be small. As a person with disability and my daughter having disability: we were comfortable with the space as it was a room and not stalls.

They altered food and refused to fix the order.

Submitted a take out order via the app. Order contained 2 orders of footlong nachos that were supposed to have salsa. I paid in advance via the app but included no tip as this was a take away order. I arrived and thanked the worker and took the order to the car. In the car it was discovered that neither order of nachos had salsa. Upon returning the order to get salsa added to the nachos the employees lied and claimed the order was requested without salsa despite the paper receipt from Subway clearly stating otherwise. The employees refused to add salsa to the nachos.

It is unknown to me if this Subway frequently mistreated customers or they simply enjoy "altering" the food when people do not tip on takeaway orders.

They are highly unprofessional and certainly untrustworthy. I would advise people to be very diligent about examining your food if you wish to purchase food from this...

Literally never lets me down (except for one staff member who's EXTREMELY inept but that's not everyone else's fault) one of the best places to eat in gander by far, food is always good, service is always kind and in high spirits, the atmosphere is pretty chill nothing to out of the way, and the staff are very good at their jobs! (Again except for afore mentioned member who basically assaults subs to the point they look like car crash victims).
