Country Kitchen — Restaurant in Gander

Not a very good experience today.. the cook must not care whats being served and how its being served. My Chicken Fillet Burger had hardly any lettuce (im assuming its because it was going bad as you can see in the picture), hardly any mayo and the tomato didnt tatse very fresh. My onion rings couldve been cooked a little bit longer. My friend got the Chicken Finger Snack with a side of poutine and her "chicken fingers" was one big chicken finger or something, and in the middle was gross (you can see in the picture) so she didnt even eat it and most of her fries in her poutine werent even fully cooked. Was in town and usually goes to my default Swiss Chalet. This place is ok for a select few of "typical" baymen/newfies. From my experience the place needs a lot of work. Seating is tight and place disperatly needs paint. We had 2 burger platter with fries. The fries are homemade but tasted plain, actual homemade fries taste better. The burger was burned black on both sides of both burgers. Cheese slice was so fake and pale void of any taste. Price is high compared to most places of this type. I've had cheaper food downtown st. John's and $2 for a can of coke is steep. Next time I'll be having Swiss chalet. It's no wonder why the place is empty during supper time (5:30 at time of this review). 2 stars for...

Went in today for lunch with my family, ordered the 2 piece chicken meal with mashed potato’s and my daughter had the chicken basket and husband had the breakfast. My chicken was completely dry and no flavour, my daughters chicken pieces were dry besides for the strips, and my husbands eggs were flavourless along with most of the meat and the bread was overly yeasty. She did take the price of the chicken off our bill, but when I went to pay their debit machine went down and I had to use the atm to take money out which charged me another $5 on top of my meal cost.
