🌟 Café Mulligan: A Cozy Hideaway in Aylmer 🌟 I stumbled upon Café Mulligan during a chilly February afternoon, seeking refuge from the rain. And oh, what a delightful discovery it was! 🍵 The café, nestled in an original charming house from Aylmer’s early days, exudes warmth and character. As I stepped inside, the antique window caught my eye, casting a soft glow on the worn wooden floors. The cozy ambiance enveloped me like a favorite blanket. The menu offered a comforting selection of treats—flaky pastries, aromatic coffees, and teas that whispered secrets of distant lands. I opted for a steaming cappuccino, and it arrived adorned with a delicate heart-shaped foam. Each sip felt like a hug from an old friend. But it wasn’t just the beverages that left an impression. The friendly staff, clad in aprons that seemed to hold stories of their own, welcomed me with genuine smiles. They shared tidbits about the café’s history, adding to the sense of belonging. As I sat by the window, raindrops tapping a soothing rhythm, I realized that Café Mulligan was more than a café—it was a haven. A place where time slowed down, where conversations flowed freely, and where the world outside faded into insignificance.
So, dear fellow wanderers, if you find yourself in Aylmer, seek out Café Mulligan. Let its antique window beckon you, its cozy corners embrace you, and its flavors transport you to a realm of comfort and nostalgia. Five stars? Absolutely. But more than that—a heartfelt recommendation. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Feel free to share this review, and may it inspire others to discover the magic of Café...
Read moreI tried this cafe many times. They have really good jackfruit sandwich but sometimes not all the time. Most of my visits to cafe, I ended up as frustration because of the employees. So I have lessons learnt: if you are in a rush in the morning and want a quick take out, mention that you don't want it heated! Otherwise you have to wait 10 - 20 min. Grill usually not warm when I am there, and I wait forever to have the sandwich heated up while rushing to work. So I pick it up not heated. Noone asks you if you want it heated, employees don't care about you waiting, you have to jump and stop them heating up! Not every sandwich is throw in the grill be careful ! If you got not heated sandwich cause you are in a morning rush, be careful no one will warn you that there is a stretch film under the parchment paper ! Yes it is like a trap, I just wasted a nice sandwich this morning cause it is wrapped in a parchment paper, ready to grill ! Guess what they decided to add stretch film under that! And that melted on top of my sandwich !! Of course sandwich is thrown away what a wasted money ! Noone will warn you about that, be careful ! Employees aren't thoughtful and communicating, they usually do very fake smile, don't care about you eating plastic or waiting in a morning rush. Look at me this morning, I paid for a sandwich and ended up with nothing, pretty annoying. So you have to be smart as a customer, be suspicious, be careful, don't wait in rush our and don't eat...
Read moreMy overall experience of the cafe is okay but there are a few things about it that make me not particularly fond of this place. The first thing is how tiny the cafe is. Some people would call it cozy, but when this place gets busy (and it often does), there is not much room to walk around, or even sit comfortably. The tables are placed relatively close together making it noisy and very easy to hear other people's conversation. The kitchen is very close to the sitting area which adds to the noise. The cafe has a very nice patio which makes it for a much better experience if you're able to get a table outside during the spring or summer. The drinks are good but the menu has limited options for food, and it is overpriced. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch. If you are the type of person who brings your laptop to cafes to do work or study, I would not recommend this place for the reasons stated above (in particular the noise and lack of space). I came to this cafe to study, but I found it too noisy and crowded. Thankfully there is a library within walking distance which turned out...
