An amazing breakfast restaurant with helpful staff who make you feel welcome.
No matter what you order the food is always top notch, almost all excellent quality and very well prepared. Weekends get very busy so prepare for a bit of a wait but, in the end, it's worth it.
The kids menu is great which is very welcome for parents like us. Freshly squeezed orange juice is always tasty and a favorite with our two girls. A delicious hot chocolate works well sometimes too.
Eggs are always fresh and on point. Same for the home fries. Crepes are tasty as are the French toast. Lots and lots of fresh fruit and even more options on the menu. In a surprising twist the standard coffee is actually pretty good, especially compared to the swill other breakfast places peddle you.
Our minor complaints: pricing is up there, I guess we live in a world where we pay over $10 for eggs, sausage and bacon now but it's hard to wrap my head around that. A small, kids hot chocolate is $2.50 and while not horrible it seems a bit much. Also, while the rest of the food is usually amazing, the bacon is just a sad affair. You get 3 little slices of super thin, super fried bacon strips and it's almost enough to make a bacon lover find a corner and have a good cry. Lastly, during the colder months the front door often jams open causing a massive cold breeze to enter the restaurant. Everyone complains about it and it gets really cold and uncomfortable.
Those small points that stop it from being a 5 star experience aside this is a wonderful restaurant that we would highly recommend. Bring some money, enjoy the food. If you're looking for a quick inexpensive breakfast place,...
Read moreResponse: I ordered something from the menu, I just didn't want a platter with it. It's not like I ordered something I made up. But good to know that accommodating your guests and avoiding food waste are not high priorities for you. It's not a hill I'd choose to die on, but you are free to alienate your customers however you wish. THANKS
Update: I came here for lunch and asked if I could order just a sandwich. I was told no they don't do that I have to order the platter. That seems bizarre to me, if someone wants to eat healthier and avoid a mountain of fries I think they should say thanks for choosing our restaurant and bring them a sandwich. I will probably not be coming back here very often because I usually don't like eating a large lunch and prefer to go somewhere I can order what I want.
This place is pretty tasty and priced the same as other breakfast places. The service has been very friendly the two times I have been there. I ordered my eggs over-medium and I found them slightly undercooked, but I find that it is very common to get over-easy eggs when you order over-medium in restaurants. The interior is roomy and pleasant with high ceilings and...
Read moreWe have come for Breakfast/Lunch several times. The staff has always been polite and courteous and the food comes out of the kitchen quickly. I am giving it five (5) stars even though sometimes the food came out not as it should. When it was brought to the staff's attention, it was dealt with promptly. And how the concern is resolved is what matters most. I love the decor and vibe of the Restaurant. Will definitely be back soon.
Update:
The washrooms are very clean and well stocked. The garbage is never overflowing and always lots of soap but most importantly plenty of toilet paper.
The menu has been revised and updated slightly. I did enjoy the new Mushroom and Brie Omelet.
The kitchen is very accomodating and I have asked the server to ask the kitchen if it was ok to order off menu. I have substituted sauteed mushrooms instead of meat for my Eggs Benedict and added Mushrooms to the Spinach Omelet. Best of all, the kitchen is happy to do it for you. The kitchen's kindness and care is very much...
