Meli Déjeuner Crêperie — Restaurant in Gatineau

First time placing an order through the Uber app at this restaurant. The Uber app said my order was ready for pickup, so I went to the restaurant. The food wasn’t prepared, and the cashier told me it would take another 10-15 minutes. I waited an additional 45 minutes, and the food still wasn’t ready. I was getting really annoyed. I talked to the cashier again, and she said the food was still being prepared. Keep in mind, this was a $16 order. I asked to speak to the manager, who came out and was very unprofessional. I wasted an hour on a $16 order—imagine if I had ordered a bigger one. The service was poor, and management needs to address the kitchen staff. It shouldn’t take them two hours to prepare a $16 order. People order through Uber to avoid waiting in line, and if the management thinks the restaurant is bustling, they should close the Uber option. That way, customers who place orders online don’t have to wait an hour for pickup, which is how most...

Came here on Sunday at 10 am, no reservation and a group of 8. They promptly got us a table. We were surprised as it was our first time here, we left thinking it definitely wouldn’t be our last.

I decided to bring my own bread from home since I have a gluten allergy and I couldn’t figure out online if they have gluten free bread. They were honestly awesome, the server offered to take the bread to the back so they can make my meal with it, he even asked if I wanted it toasted (while being mindful that it will come in contact with gluten).

Everyone else had more of a mix of sweet and savers options like the french toast or eggs Benedict. Everyone loved their food and we were all impressed with the portion sizes.

Méli is also known as Ottavio. Same restaurant. Méli serves up a lovely huge breakfast on weekends. A very large menu. As you can see in the pics, lovely sausages, ham and bacon. Any style of eggs you desire. Lots of servers, always a coffee refill available. This place is always busy, and it's massive and free parking. So if you're coming from Ottawa take Fournier Boulevard towards Leamy Lake and after the St-Louis and Gréber Lights it's on your left....
