I’ve been a loyal customer of Olivia for years — I’ve been ordering from them since before they even expanded and opened more locations around the city. Today, I ordered my usual: a raspberry smoothie and chicken tacos.
To my absolute disgust, I discovered a bunch of ground-up plastic in my smoothie. I wish I was joking. I was nearly finished with it when I started noticing multiple pieces of plastic. The first piece I felt in my mouth, I brushed off as maybe a one-time accident — it was stuck near the lid, so I figured it might have just gotten caught there. But it got worse.
As I kept drinking, I found more and more pieces until I finally opened the lid, only to see tons of plastic bits floating inside. This is absolutely unacceptable. I feel so gross knowing I likely swallowed a ton of microplastics, and I’m incredibly upset, especially as someone who has always supported and trusted this place.
I’ve attached a photos to show exactly what I found. This is not okay for any business, especially one I’ve been loyal to for so long. I don’t know maybe it’s cus I am brown and visibly native plus speaking English but don’t come to this place unless u want a microplastic smoothie 👍 btw there was even more plastic at the bottom but scooped as much as I...
Read moreI absolutely love this place, I order for pick up frequently enough! I'm a creature of habit and always go for the chicken tacos and mini olivia salad, both are soooo good! The food is always fresh and the customer service has never disappointed.
The reason why I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because I HATE olives anyone who is in that same boat knows that you can't simply remove olives from anything without the flavor being left behind. On a few occasions I could tell that the salad was made with olives and they must have noticed the note of no olives afterwards and removed them. If someone had an allergy it would be problematic that the olives were simply removed. Today I ordered for pickup selected no olives and made an additional note to not accidentally add olives. I made it home, ate my tacos and moved onto the salad. To my disappointment it had olives in it. I had to drive back which was a little annoying. I explained in a calm manner how frustrating it was because it's not the first time. They made me a new salad and offered for me to keep the other which I...
Read moreMy experience at the Plateau location has been a bit mixed. While their salads are great, I find the preparation and execution of their taco items to be quite disappointing. During my recent visit, I wanted to order chicken tacos and a salad. As I was deciding whether to order two pairs of tacos, the cashier gave me a visibly annoyed and disapproving look, as if my hesitation was wasting her time. This was particularly surprising since the bistro was nearly empty—there were only three other customers, all of whom were already seated and eating.
While the food (especially the salads) is a highlight, the service experience left much to be desired. A little more patience and professionalism from the staff would go a long way in making the overall dining experience...
