Snack Shack — Restaurant in Gatineau

The Snack Shack is a place I've been coming to for almost two decades now. They've had their ups and downs, but they work hard to provide good customer service. Any time I've had a problem they've made it right.

I'm a simple person, i like my hot dogs, i like my poutine, and that's my go-to order. My biggest complaint is that when i ask for an all-dressed hot-dog, it comes with ketchup. Literally my biggest complaint about this place. They make my favourite poutine in the area. And now that they make crispy buffalo chicken poutine, i have no reason to go elsewhere anymore.

So if you like simple and delicious, this is a good place. They recently started breakfasts, and they definitely have some good choices. I love stopping here for a western sandwich combo whenever i have the chance, very satisfying and better than the local fast food...

Terrible customer service. Ordered on skip the dishes, received order with a hair in my poutine, no cutlery to eat it (not that I would have after the hair), pogo had no sweet mustard. I called and spoke with the manager who said pogos are not served with mustard, the hair is not possible since they wear hairnets to which I said ill send him a picture. I asked them to send me a new poutine with a mustard for the pogo. He rudely said if you want a new poutine then come here and get it, we are not sending it to you (even though its their fault and I paid their delivery fee). I asked to speak with the owner and the manager hung up on me as he muttered something I couldnt make out. This place should seriously train their employees to know customer service comes first. Some of THE BEST poutine in all of outaouais!! Only found one place that's better, but it's far away in gatineau.. Snack Shack poutine is the second best poutine EVER!! The owners are lovely, burgers & sandwiches are delicious, big beef hotdogs are the best, even the quesadilla they have is so yummy!!! Hands down the best place to get food, I will always love Snack Shack! Every time I'm craving poutine, I go/send my man to Snack Shack!
