First visit August 2025:
To the owner: This business could use a very big esthetic overhaul.... the florescent lighting was dark and it looked like stuff was just everywhere.
The front door needs to be cleaned and painted, the sign that says "call this number" is placed so you cannot read the phone number to the business. There are a lot of paper generic signs saying different rules that could be more professional.
we went for the gelato but none of it looked appetizing, so we had the moose tracks from Kawarta. The ice cream tasted like it had freezer burn.
The printer on your credit card machine doesn't work (the employee knew this before we paid)
I saw people walk in and walk right back out of your store and I understood why.
Apparently the food is amazing but the way it's displayed did NOT do it justice or make people want to try it...
There also needs to be a clear sign where to enter... I saw people wondering where the entrance was. The seating on the side was nicely done..
Just one small business owner to another... a lot can be done to improve the look of the business... with the freezer burn ice cream and the gelato looking like it was thrown in the containers... I have no interest in returning even after a lady came out with a weeks worth of food that she was raving about.
I took plenty...
Read moreMy husband really likes the chicken parmesan sandwich here. I've tried the gelato and it was good as well. The only thing I was disappointed with was the pizza. I prefer an authentic neoplitan pizza, but even other types of Italian thin crust pizzas are great. I just found the crust didn't have the consistency I was looking for and the margarita pizza wasn't made the way I am used to when I go to Italian restaurants. That could be on me, but I was expecting slices of fresh mozzarella and basil, and this was very different. No slices of fresh mozzarella...it was like shredded cheese and cut up tomatos with no basil. Both kinds of pizzas I tried here weren't my thing. I would love if this place made a truly authentic neoplitan pizza, but maybe this is traditional from a different region (but nothing like any real Italian pizza ive ever had). I considered giving this place a 3 star because I really didn't like the pizza, but i do really like grabbing other things here. Overall, I don't recommend the pizza, but the sandwiches and gelato are good and the owners were always very nice. The location is also great and I would for sure recommend stopping by for either of...
Read moreI ordered a veal sandwich and 1 piece of lasagna.
It was quite expensive with the added costs of toppings for the veal sandwich (over $40 for both).
I went close to 5pm on a weekend. It was an extremely hot day and just waiting inside to order I nearly got heat stroke.
The food was decent. One of my pet peaves with lasagna is having it dry out/be dry on the top, but this one was not thankfully. I do wish sauce and Parmigiano cheese was added to the top for more flavour as it was a bit bland.
My issue was the timing of the food. I waited almost 45 minutes for my veal sandwich. I felt even more sorry for the employees working there. The heat inside the facility was unbearable. The facility really needs to have a working A/C unit. I thought the employee taking the orders was going to faint. Due to the heat, she could remember orders and I could see her struggling with heat stress as well.
Please set up your establishment with proper temperature controls. We couldn't eat inside or outside due to the weather and had to drive the food home which was over 25...
