Chickie's Pizza — Restaurant in Glace Bay

Usually i love the food. But for whatever reason my pizza crust tastes like ciggarettes. Either the guy tossing the dough, doesnt wash his hands after his smoke breaks or the deliver driver is smoking with the windows up and the pizzas arent in a warming bag.

Its not the toppings or sauce. Its the dough. And its not the entire thing. Its wherever the resin soaked fingers of the guy tossing touched the dough before it went in the oven.

So i know atleast for my pie. The dude didnt wash his hands. And thats super nasty. That on top of the fact that the cook smokes darts.

I smoked for 10 years before i quit 7 years ago so trust me i know what it tastes like to smoke a dart then eat with your dart hand. Its bitter and very distinct. And this is exactly that.

This has happened to me 3 times. And its at random. But im not sure i want to play dirty ciggarette hands...

Probably my favorite pizza joint in Cape Breton, There are several pizza joints that I've been too that tend to use generic pizza sauce on there pizza, Chickie's doesn't. There sauce has a subtle heat behind it. 5$ for Pizza Slice and Pop is the staple product, but they have a wide selection of daily specials and menu items.

Honestly, I would suggest these [the daily specials and menu items] over the 5$ combo. Slices are sometimes cold and then re-heatened. Which doesn't always mean the slice is fully warm. That said I've never had an issue when buying any of the pizza's or other items, so take my previous comment as a nitpick rather then a condemnation. Still my favorite Pizza Place in...

not happy ive ordered from chickies many times and always a great second choice but tonights pizza was horrible i called and asked for a combination but informed no mushrooms so i ordered pep and cheese it did arrive a little late and cold and wasnt much more than a birthday party pizza bland cold and no taste and pop was warm i have gave chickies the benefit of doubt in the past and this time is the last not a great product and is hit or miss and for 39 dollars not worth it please do better
