Beautiful location on the beach in Goderich. The restaurant is overpriced considering the majority of their food is frozen or pre-packaged. I was expected beautiful, fresh perch and pickerel but the waitress informed us that is is frozen, not fresh. The buttermilk chicken sandwich we ordered was burnt in spots and not properly breaded. The teriyaki salmon was good. Mussels, which our boys order all the time were awful, but the broth good. The linguini pasta awful- sent me to the bathroom within a half hour. I thought the Asiago cheese would be as a garnish on top but it was incorporated into the sauce which was not saucy at all. I was very disappointed as there were about 6 tiny slices over very overcooked chicken- it had clearly been precooked then reheated. Barely chewable. For $28- terrible. Smallest large Caesar salad we had, very little dressing. We were a large group so automatically gratuity. I guess that means wait staff don’t care about providing good service. Our waitress was good but other staff lacking in service standards. We eat out on a regular basis so our standards are higher but for the price point this place is a typical pub with overpriced dishes. Additionally, if you have a shellfish allergy be aware they use one fryer for all their fried items!

Came here the other day with my parents. It's a bit out of the way and a drive for us, but they love it so much it becomes the reason for the trip! Our waiter was Brock. Lovely young chap who took great care of us. When you enter you must get a parking voucher as it's a town parking lot or something, but don't worry you have plenty of time and staff are quite lovely about it! The food was great. I had the beef dip. Fries are very tasty! The seats outside have a lovely view of the lake and the beach front. Perfect for a lovely day. The bathroom was really nice. I know it's odd to comment on but it made the experience even better. Nothing is worse than going to wash your hands in a horrid one before a nice meal. This was tip top very clean and was a great experience overall. 👍🏽

What a fabulous meal! Great host and waitress and service. Lovely interior....and of course, great view of the Sunset! We started off with the lovely Butternut squash soup, absolutely delicious with tones of tumeric and pumpkin seeds. Great presentation! Next was the Amazing Roasted Chicken dish and Pickerel special. The Pickerel was THE BEST my partner has ever tasted in all his years of eating Pickerel. Both plates were very filling and it was a hard decision to have dinner, as we were filled. Dessert selection was so tempting, we had to try it out. We finished with the best Creme Espresso Brule ever tasted! Thank you for one of the best meals we have had in "dining out". This is a lovely spot for a special dinner out. We were very impressed. Worth every penny.

We were so excited to have a fabulous diner in this perfect location with a magical view! We had to wait 20mn to be seated but it was fine.. it was Labour day weekend on Saturday evening and the weather was great. We finally had a table on the patio in a extreme windy corner with lots of flies to begin with. We asked to be seated inside but it was solid booked. We ordered a red Sangria and a spicy Clamato juice. I had many sangrias in my life and certainly know how to make it but this one was not more than 3 little pieces of fruits floating in lots of juice and ice cubes with a drop of ordinary red wine and served in a dollar store tumbler. It was completely tasteless and I was very disappointed. It was Not professionally done if you call yourself a barman or barmaid. I had to order a basic white wine after. The waitress offered me three types of wine, including a Riesling which is pretty sweet and typically served with dessert ! Lack of knowledge upfront! My son ordered the teriyaki salmon and was served has stated on the menu but sadly the portion was definitely insufficient for a $ 27 plate with few veggies and a very small portion of salmon. So for him, we had to order a pizza later on to be satisfactory. My order was a complete disaster honestly. A smoked brisket chimichanga with Cajun rice and I was looking forward to have a fabulous diner! It came as a fat wrap made of a thick fried dough stuffed with an over cooked dry meat so called brisket topped with a guacamole sauce, few tomatoes and red onions and a side salad absolutely tasteless pretty much with just oil on it! The Cajun rice was not in my plate either so basically the description on the menu was a perfect farce! It was Not a chimichanga sauce either! The quality was very poor, the preparation was extremely not professional and personally if my chef was serving that type of food in my restaurant, he would be at the door in a flash! The menu was pretty basic. I truly don’t understand the total sense of careless professionalism in a place like this. Basically they don’t care about the quality because the customer are coming by hundreds in this lovely location and they don’t have to excel and make any effort to make money! Terrible lack of restaurant and business knowledge! I came from 30 years of hospitality experience from France and Canada and I know what I am talking about! Very poor overall...

My family was really looking forward to a great experience here. At 1st i was disappointed that u had to pay for parking, but i understood that some people would take advantage of it & use the beach instead of going in to eat. We ended up sitting at our table for 15 min, when the lady that sat us asked if our waitress has been by yet, we said no. She brought us some waters & said she told our waitress we were ready to order, as she pointed to our waitress. We still waited 10 min after this for our waitress to even stop & ask us what we wanted to drink... but obviously we were ready to order, considering we had been waiting for 25 min. We watched our waitress go to a table of 10+ people multiple times in our 25 min wait. It was a pretty slow day as well, it wasn't busy at all, maybe 5-6 tables between 2 or 3 waitresses. The food was great, absolutely no complaints there. While eating, i noticed a fruit fly on my fish... no biggie, i picked it off & continued to eat. My next piece of fish (i was almost done eating it) i noticed another fly, it was then i realized that the malt vinegar had over 10 dead fruit flies in it. A different waitress stopped to take away empty dishes & i told her that the vinegar had flies. Then my son noticed a dead fruit fly stuck to the inside of my pop. I understand these things happen.... it happens in my kitchen too, but when u are at a restaurant it turns u away. When we paid, we didn't leave a tip on the machine. I have always left cash tips on the table, never on the machine. Our waitress very rudely asked "u didn't want to leave a tip on the machine?" At this point i hadn't even had a chance to pull out my tip for her, so she obviously assumed she wasn't getting a tip. After her tone about the tip, i decided i wasn't going to leave one. My daughter is a waitress & she was appalled she would even say anything about a tip. We paid over $150 for the worst waitress i have ever delt with. Needless to say, my family won't be going back. We were very disappointed & was looking forward to going, as trains have been a very big part for my family throughout...

I stopped in today because I had a delivery that brought me to the area. I wanted to treat myself and asked my customer for recommendations. If my data had been better, i would've followed her recommendations because it wouldn't have led me here.

I ordered the smash burger with fries and an order of gravy. Having lived near Port Dover, I was prepared for tourist pricing but I wasn't prepared for tourist sizing.

I'm going to start with the fries. Standard fare, the portion was considerably smaller than I expected, but the gravy was completely lackluster. It added nothing to the fries other than a "liquid" to help digest them. Just no flavour in either the fries or gravy. I actually regret ordering the gravy because of the $2 upcharge, because not even adding salt at the table helped the fries. The gravy added nothing to it.

The smash burger, at $21, was boring. I was going to write nothing, but boring is more accurate. No flavour to it. There's garlic aioli on it? I saw the evidence of it dripping off like water, but every bite was just like a plain burger with some toppings. And even then, the pickles were meh, the cheese was meh. Nothing about this burger stood out in taste of flavour.

If it weren't for Haley being my server (and she became overrun with tables because people didn't want to wait to sit outside) I would've left before finishing my first beer without ordering food.

Would not recommend. The menu is small. You'd expect that means they serve good food, but it doesn't. It means they're kitchen can turn over tables quicker. Not what I want when I'm spending over...
