5 stars for the food itself. Fabulously cooked, and absolutely delicious, then menu had a great selection of breakfast items. What we had was delicious. 4 stars for the service. It was busy, but it seems like a place that is always busy for a Saturday breakfast/brunch fare so that's really no excuse I guess. Our waitress got a little lost I think and didn't come back to ask if we were okay, and we needed someone so we had to bug another lady. 3 stars for the themes, decor and business name. This next part could be a little out of line but I've watch a lot of restaurant makeover/ restaurant rescue shows and sometimes you just see a canvas that's not blank, but it needs help finishing. So here goes; Love the music theme (that record floor is nuts, I love it! I'd lean more into that because of the floor 50s diner's and a music theme with pictures of elvis... it all just goes hand in hand I think), love the mystical theme, maybe just choose one? This falls into the décor as well, there's a lot going on and sometimes less is more. Maybe remove the signs hanging from the ceiling they don't fit the vibe check I would say. And the fireplace... why? It seems like it's there just to hold the Cutlery because it doesn't match the vibe at all. The carpet is was definitely in need of a vacuum, but the carpet is kinda ick. The light fixtures, go to Ikea and get the $25 white and place ones that look like they were made for your restaurant, shoot me a message I'm going in a couple weeks I'd totally pick them up for you if you wanted. Lastly, CHANGE THE NAME and instead of restaurant I would totally say diner, lean in to the 50s theme it's great vibe but it's wavering a bit and I just think if you did a couple things it would add a lot of Va Va Voom! Also, I would love to help you redo your menu designs for free, for my portfolio, would love to help a local business add a bit more pizazz! This would be a bigger undertaking and could get real costly depending what's up there so purely suggestion but take the drop ceiling out if you can spray insulation and spray paint everything in the upper parts black it would add height to the big dinning room and it would add such a modern flair. If not replace the water damaged tile. And what's up with the Narnia of doors doorway thing, five doors going into...

've had breakfast here many times. It's a good breakfast...nothing to write home about, but good. Today I changed it up and ordered eggs benedict-poached eggs. The eggs were poached with a hard boiled yoke. I very politely explained that I absolutely never complain when I'm at restaurants, but the whole point of eggs benedict is for the yolk to be runny. Their response was "we don't guarantee soft eggs" I asked, "well if he can't make poached, could he do over easy for me please?" Their response was "he will make them, but he'll charge you for the two extra eggs" !!!???? Now, I realize that eggs are a ridiculous $7/dozen right now, but when you as the chef cannot actually make something you offer on the menu, either 1. Don't offer it, 2. Say on the menu that you don't guarantee that the chef is good enough to make them soft and 3. Most certainly let the customers know that you don't care if they don't get what they ordered and that you are going to charge them and not make it up to them in any way!!! I am livid and as a local I try to support local, but I will never ever support this restaurant again. Extremely...

My wife and I are normally driving towards the best reviewed restaurants in Ontario to test their food and service. As Bluewater came across our radar, we were thrilled to have breakfast there, as reviews are great. Unfortunately, we noticed right away that service was being served a bit different us, having a hint of unwelcome to the small restaurant.

Either way, we decided to sit in order to test the food and make a reasonable judgment for its servings. The breakfast plate came out very quickly, but just as the poor service, the food came with a bit lump of HAIR to add to the unwelcomed environment.

I am uncertain to say why a such positive reviewed place provided such a bad experience for us, but I can only review the single experience provided at the time.

Unfortunately, this is...

This was our first time coming to The Bluewater Restaurant. My family and I were staying at Point Farms, and we wanted to enjoy a good breakfast. After we Google some options, The Bluewater Restaurant stood out. What a great decision it was to come over. The restaurant atmosphere was great. We were assisted by a wonderful young female called Alyssa. She was super helpful, polite, friendly, and very efficient. The food portions were generous and delicious. A gentleman named Raymond came over to our table to check that everything was OK. He also offered a magic trick to my son. In short words... Bluewater Restaurant is your must stop when visiting Goderich. Their service and food are amazing. With no doubt.... Fully recommended 😉😎🤟🏻🇨🇦🍁

I stumbling upon a little piece in a local magazine raving about the restaurant's awesome breakfast, which convinced me to go there before bidding farewell to the town. The waitress was a gem, with top-notch service - warm, friendly, and oh-so-helpful, just what you hope for. Out of the blue, the owner, Neil, popped out to greet us personally. Talk about going the extra mile! Not only did he make a special pancake just for my toddler, he made us feel like VIPs too. He dazzled us with some magic tricks and gifted us a deck of Canadian souvenir cards. It was the cherry on top of a fantastic breakfast experience!

Went here today for Breakfast because I heard it has changed and was better then it was before. Overall ya it kinda has to me. Hard to get a parking spot for there is a small parking lot. But got in fine. Atmosphere felt old like the 50’s, also mostly aimed to the older crowd. Food came hot and was good, home fries were pretty bland, my friends coffee was hot. Service was good just not so talkative. I had the Magnificent Mcmillan. The temperature there was kinda humid and hot. Overall it was good.
