Absolutely pathetic.
I ordered the candied BLT and although I just wanted the sandwich without a side, no discount was offered. To make matters worse, the sourdough bread though lightly toasted was very dry and the crust was literally like chewing beef jerky. To make it even yet more worse, though I ate less than half the sandwich, without a side, the server only discounted my order by five dollars for a sandwich that cost 16.95! Seriously? Add to this my wife wanted one piece of fish and was given two. When she asked our server why, my wife was told that it only comes with two pieces and was charged full price! Again, seriously?!? This is unquestionably the worst dinning experience I have had in years! Add to this a poorly written menu with items crossed out with a magic marker and in the wall behind one of the booth seats was a protruding screw that could be hazardous to a tall person leaning back. I mentioned this to our server and she seemed to care less. I very, VERY strongly recommend not eating here. With this year's theme being "vacation in Canada" you'd think The Train Station Pub would want to up their game, but this is clearly not the case. It seems they are shamelessly okay with being an embarrassment to the good people of Grand Forks. Hopefully, for the people of Grand Forks the owners of The Train Station Pub will either go under or sell soon. The people of Grand Forks and anyone vacationing here deserve way...
Read moreWe went there with our hockey team for dinner so we pre ordered our food.
When we arrived one waitress was pleasant even though they did another hockey team right before but the manager had a very bad attitude.
It took one hour for us to get our food and three hours in total for everyone to get theirs. I understand it's alot and we were very patient but when we had a question the waitress/ manager was super rude to everyone and when we asked what the hold up was she wouldn't answer us and budge right past us.
They are not set up for large gatherings so if you have a hockey team or anything else like that tjos is not tge place for you at least with the manager.
The waitress was respectful.
I do not recomend this place because one of our team walked out of there bill because of the circumstances which should have been ok but they called it stealing. Which is crazy.
They don't understand the concept of customer service and the say its stealing after everyone else paid and they had a record night I'm assuming.
The manager should not be in customer service. She also told the owner that one of the parents approached her and cornered her in a room to harass her. This is a lie the room in question is massive and he was letting her know the service was terrible which it was.
Good food but not great but snooty attitude.
Was even rude over the phone before we got there. Manager should not be in customer...
Read moreWhile travelling to Kelowna yesterday, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a stop for lunch at the Station Pub in Grand Forks. We hadnât eaten there since before Covid, but had always enjoyed the food and atmosphere the many times weâd eaten there over the years. After waiting 1.5 hours for our meals to arrive, we decided to leave as we needed to be in Kelowna by 5pm. Just as we were about to walk out the door, our waitress came out of the kitchen with our orders. We decided that weâd quickly eat as we were both very hungry by this time. What a joke! The hockey puck burger was room temperature, the cream soup tasted like chalk and the taquitos were badly overcooked although the bacon inside was still partially raw. It was all completely inedible! We were offered no discount, just an apology from an obviously embarrassed waitress. We wrapped up the meat from the burger in a napkin for our dog who was waiting in our truck and ended up paying $50.00 for a tea, a Pepsi and a bit of dog food. Two hours after we stopped to âtreat ourselvesâ, we were back on the road. We ended up stopping at the gas station in Rock Creek to pick up a couple of sandwiches. What the heck happened to you,...
