A&W Canada — Restaurant in Grand Lake Road

My comments are directed at the new store on prince not the mayflower mall store. Okay i got in line at the drive thru at 8:22 am. Only 2 cars in front of me at the speaker so i thought no problem. Wrong. 12 min later i got 2 the speaker and was told i would have 2 wait so i said i guess ive already been here 12 minutes. She apologized for the wait and said there were only 2 people in the kitchen. I asked why and was told thats all that was scheduled. So again i asked why to which there was no reply. I understand this is a new restaraunt but the fact that they are new would make them busy so how come only 2 kitchen staff. Plus the bacon and eggers are on sale which i can only guess is one of the more popular items on the breakfast menu which would make it even busier. Im no expert but as a manager wouldnt you rather have scheduled more staff and send some home if it isnt busy to keep your customers happy? I love a&w food but will not visit this...

I don’t normally leave reviews like this one but I feel I have to. The racism I witnessed was disgusting. I watched a white A&W employee completely embarrass a nice young Indian lady who was confused about an item on the menu and made a mistake when she ordered her meal. Now when I say the employee embarrassed this young lady, I mean she raised her voice loud enough for multiple people to stop what they were doing to turn around and see what was happening. Even the person I was on the phone with at the time had asked me what all the commotion was all about. It was obvious that she reacted that was simply because this young lady was Indian, she did not treat the white people before or after her that way. Went here for lunch one day after work seen a employee in back grab RAW product and place into the frier bare handed , never washed his hands , then proceeded to make burgers and other customers food with the same hands, all the equipment was cross contaminated, the food was as well.. the supervisor on shift has said And I quote here When I said what I noticed to her, " I know, I know sir, Im sorry what would you like me to do. ??? " Are you joking you know? the fact you know and you allow it to happen anyway either means you dont care, or they dont listen, and either way its not good enough getting people sick is just disgusting. And goodluck trying to get any information on the manager or someone higher up to talk to. you will NOT , will NOT get there information...
