New York Fries Mayflower Mall — Restaurant in Grand Lake Road

I had a great experience at New York Fries in Mayflower Mall! The food was hot, fresh, and exactly what I was craving. Their classic fries are always crispy and perfectly salted — you can really tell they use quality potatoes. I ordered the Pulled Pork Poutine, and it was absolutely delicious. The portion size was generous, and the balance of cheese curds, gravy, and pulled pork was spot on.

What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were friendly, efficient, and made me feel welcome. Even during a busy time, they kept the line moving quickly without sacrificing quality. The counter area was also very clean, which is always a plus.

The employee attitutide is very bad.. After i ordered two poutines for me and friend, i asked the cashier (who was friendly) whether we will have free toppimgs and she said i can have tomatoes and onions as free veggies.. Then when i went to take the poutines from the servimg side, a lady employee when we asked for toppings like tomatoes and green onions she put things disgustingly and like she didnt want to put it.. it was not at all busy.. if we paid for the poutine, we have the right to ask for toppings.. After that when we said thank u she dint even look at our faces or replied back.. All we asked for was some toppings like free veggies and ketchup and relishes..After we went to eat.. we foumd that we had very little gravy in the poutine.. My friend said she used to buy poutines from NYF and everytime she used to get good amount of gravy.. But we had hardly any gravy in it like the employee did it purposefully.. When the other customers asked for free toppings she dint have any issue.... I kindly request NYF management to look upon employee behaviour while...

Lets get the good right out of the way. They arguably have the best poutine on the island; especially so if you enjoy non standard poutines. Their hotdogs are not next level but they're not bad either—they are entirely passable. No complaints.

My complaints come from the service. I ordered a combo from them on Doordash. A combo: a dog, poutine, and a drink. They put my drink in a separate bag from the hot foods which is appreciated but they put the condiments in the bag with the poutine making them warm and disgusting. Why would you do that? Especially when there is a bag with nothing but a cold bottle of pop in it?

On top of that they use wooden forks. Do not eat here if you don't have access to a metal or plastic fork unless you plan to eat entirely with your hands. I know they're good for the environment but they completely change the taste of the food and for the worse.
