I would like to commend someone who I'm assuming was either a trainer or management of some semblance this morning. I had gone through the drive through alongside some very noisy diesel vehicles during the morning rush. The attendant to my order on the speaker could not understand me when I requested a Multi-grain Bacon and Egg Bagel. Twice they asked me what it was I was saying, the second time asking, "A multi-grain what?" Working in the service industry myself, I'm quite used to someone on a bad line spelling something out to me or asking me to spell it out to them. As such, I spelled out "b-a-g-e-l". The speaker attendant was obviously having a rough morning and frustrated as they immediately were disgruntled that I'd spelled to them. "You DON'T need to SPELL it to me!" they said firmly. I'd had my own rough morning so sighed, made sure they'd understood the order and carried on to the payment window, intending to request the name of the attendant so I could have a word. There were two people at the payment window and before I had even gotten the request completely out, "May I ask the name of who took my order?" one of the two people said, "I was just going to apologize to you. That was unprofessional, uncalled for and I'd like to thank you for your patience and kindness with them."
That person, that manager or supervisor or trainer or whomever she was, saved the day tenfold! They were heartfelt, observant, took ownership for the entire restaurant and rectified the situation with her compassion. I did not catch her name but would like to say I will continue frequenting this locale merely because of her observance and apology on behalf of the location. THAT is exceptional customer...
Read moreI visit this restaurant often, I have 3 children! Twice in a matter of 2 weeks I had to call the restaurant after we left. The first call was made about a very rude employee that I encountered in the drive thru. I was told by the manager at the time he would speak to him and get back to me. That was about 2 weeks ago and still nothing!!! No employer should argue and talk under their breath to a customer that is at their window. The second call was made when my son brought home 3 McFlurries, none of which had been stirred, and 1 that was made incorrectly. The manager that I spoke to this time was very polite and apologized for the mishap. She was a very nice, well spoken young lady and I appreciate that. I know this may not seem like a big deal to others but for someone who worked their way up from the bottom in the McDonald's chain and spent 11 years of their lives there, it is very frustrating. I know there young kids that start out there as a first job and mistakes happen. As a manager it is your responsibility to correct the young people and deal with the customer when mistakes happen. I appreciate the young lady but as for the male manager I dealt with the first time, do better!!!! For the young man with all the attitude in the drive thru on my first visit, if you do not enjoy your job and cannot go to work with a smile and great attitude, maybe this is not the right job for you!! This review written by someone who started as crew and worked their way to RGM, even though the RGM position was another fast food chain, I know what it takes to have great customer service everyday and what the managers should expect from their...
Read moreI don’t usually write reviews but when I do there’s a reason I’ll start with a lil backstory earlier today I decided to to to McDonald for lunch on my break ( the one by Costco ) absolutely amazing service filled up on a double cheeseburger Beal and so happens to win a FREE APPLE PIE. horay this is when it takes a turn for the worse earlier this evening after work I decided to go cash in my BIG WIN at this McDonalds (southside) I go through the drive through and order my pack of gold in a green cardboard wrapper (my apple pie) give my monopoly cupon to the first window no problems there when I get to the next window my dreams were crushed they told me they had “no apple pie” so as one would I asked for my FREE apple pie cupon back so I could go to a different McDonald’s the manager said he could NOT give me my cupon back I could feel my blood suger levels as the seconds moved forward eventually after telling this man 5 times I need my apple pie he broke and said HE DID HAVE APPLE PIE so now in this moment I’ve been waiting ten minutes for my apple pie
Moral of the story is that McDonalds is not as established in its management as I thought I’m disappointed to say the least and if anyone ends up in my situation just know someone out there loves you and expects you...
