Review as a first time visitor ..

I was hungry and hadn't eaten anything all day, so I decided to go to a restaurant where I could dine and have the right kind of food. I usually check the ratings and then visit the restaurant, so I saw the ratings it was 3.9 and read some reviews and thought I should give it a try since it was near my home. I asked the restaurant manager what is the best seller in the restaurant, and he gave me the option of chicken curry 🍛, I gave it a try with naan.

To be honest, the curry does not appear to be a curry; rather, it appears to be a syrupy tomato and onion paste with an abundance of unneeded masala & it was sugary as well ; it is that simple; if you used MEAT MASALA from MDH /Shaana or any right chicken curry masala , believe me it would have tasted great.

I spent $25 and felt like I wasted my money because I could have made better chicken at home. I've tried chicken and mutton in so many places in Halifax, and I believe restaurants like Red Chilli have the upper hand. I mean, it's really important as a customer to give a genuine and authentic review about the food.

I must say the staff was nice & manager was also good, eventually I told him the same thing as a feedback & he said we make for foreign customers who don’t know anything about chicken curries & mutton curries.

I won't advocate that you don't visit or visit this restaurant; it's all up to you, but I will say that for the price & taste, it was not worthwhile. But I am not sure about the other dishes , their other dishes might had taste better or good. This is my general perspective on the particular food I had As a First timer .

One of the worst experience we had at any Indian restaurant.

It was my birthday yesterday and I went for a dinner with my Family.

Greetings/Welcoming - 4/5

Service - 1/5 - Waiter was doing really good job, only 1 person was taking order, and serving them. Because of performing few duties at once he was keep forgetting what we have asked him. Not his fault it's management's.

Worst food ever.

We ordered Paneer Tikka as you can see in the picture, very tasteless only red chilli powder and red color no spices at all and no other veggies like green peppers, red peppers only few onions.

Ordered Kadhai Paneer but they served us Chicken instead of Paneer. When I called waiter He checked out tables number and order list and confirmed that yes you ordered Kadhai Paneer and he apologized but no other courtesy.

We are a pure vegetarian not even eating eggs and they were about to break our religious practice.

Waiting time - ordered only 3 dishes and not rush at that time still it took 1 hour to prepare our food.

They gave us a water when we asked 2 times.

And please do not make any excuses that because of new ownership and management this have happened.

The change in ownership and management was in April 2022 and you are still giving this reason to every bad customer service it has been 6 months but same reason.

Please try to learn from every mistake you made and start acting on google reviews and customer reviews, if you really want to be in the business.

Ruined my birthday celebration and totally disappointed my family.

Worst experience ever . Served glass of water in dirty glass Spoons and forks were not clean when served Served chicken instead of paneer

If you are religious belief with meat or allergic to anything please do not go this place they might not pay attention to detail.

Ordered hariyali soya chaap it was ice cold when served though only plate which tasted good but served very badly. The food was falling out the serving plate . No one would like to have cold food not in a restaurant.

There is no courtesy of giving water to customer . I had to ask multiple times and had to get up to go him and ask him to get water .

Server was nice but he is chef and he was ordered to do the serving that day and so many tables with no food and server who could hardly remember what you just asked .

We told we first want appetizers and once done we would like to have main course. No attention to detail .

No one comes on their special day to a place with negativity but we left so much of disappointment.

I would never come to this restaurant until it promises it to the customer to deliver better which certainly cannot come if they do not work on the negative customer reviews. We saw the reviews but still thought to give a shot . Our bad waste of time and money .

Sorry but not sorry at all we come to have good experience and not such disappointment.

The decor and interior was acceptably nice the only good thing .
