Stopped in for breakfast on my way to an appointment. The woman that served me I think was the rudest customer service person I have ever been served by in McDonald's. The biggest surprise was she seemed to be the on duty manager, because when I submitted my CAF identification to get my discount, she didn't have to ask anyone to provide the code. She was not wearing a name tag. The first part of our interaction I can understand, I wasn't expecting the drive through orders to be being taken at the front counter. I walked up to the counter to the only position that was occupied and she starts waving her arms around like she's directing traffic. She finaly got the point across that that particular section was for drive through. So I stepped back to see where I was headed next because there was no clear indicator which till was open. When she had finnished dealing with the drive through order she moved over to one of the other tills and I paid for my order that I had already placed through one of the self serve kiosks. Read moreThey continually make order mistakes! So check your whole order before leaving! I have had to go back several times because they have ignored my egg allergy, or forgotten half of a meal. It's a fantastic location, but the staff just doesn't pay attention. The last time I had to go back because 1/2 of my order was missing! I asked to speak to the manager as it appeared no one knew what they were to be doing. The employee pointed her out on her break with her head on the table sleeping! What does that say? Or take your break over in the corner like the employees, and keep an eye on things while you're at it. So I asked for my entire order to be remade fresh and complete which was done. However, we now never leave without checking everything in the bag. Nothing like ordering 2x 10 pack nugget meals to ask twice that the dipping sauce is in the bag to find out there is none. And if you need condiments ask, because otherwise they won't even give you ketchup for your fries. No so much as an apology or, a refund ever. Read moreVisited this location today (kempt Rd and Windsor st, Halifax, NS) and while their service is usually decent, they are not enforcing the public health guidelines for covid. 4 total strangers who walked in at seperate moments were not wearing masks and not staying 6 feet apart, one after the other. When customers brought it to the attention of the manager, they said they refuse to enforce it and that if we are uncomfortable that we have the right to leave. We are in a pandemic which is uncharted territory for most and that they should enforce it and the response was "well if we do that to everyone we will get bad reviews". I'm amazed at the reasoning. Did it not clue into their mind that now I would be writing a bad review due to this!
