Oh goodness, I highly recommend the classes that this store offers, the free ones and also the 8 week life watchers program. I took it in the fall and it was so helpful to learn about nutrition and what my body needs and why. The course is not so much about weight loss as it is about nourishing your body properly which in turn will help you lose weight should that be your goal. This type of class should be taught in schools it was so informative. You get a little snack/meal in each class and different teas to try each week and the box they give you on the first night has 3 items in it that are worth about $80 altogether including the life watchers book that they sell (so you can check out the book before signing up for the class), but the amount of goodies throughout the course makes it feel like you’re getting some of your money back and learning so much along the way (bring a notebook!). It's not about buying their stuff, it's about educating yourself in a new way and I honestly recommend people take this class. I would have liked it if the class was taught using powerpoint though so I could see the points we were discussing and have more time to write them down (and maybe take a photo of the longer points that I want to remember). I did like that is was conversational to an extent and the use of the whiteboard to explain things. The store itself is good, I like that I can always find things there that I can't get at the other basic cheap stores that I shop at as let's be real, it's a bit pricey so I can't afford my everyday items there but I will keep coming back for the speciality items that I like and now know what to do with after taking that class. The floor staff have always been very good and knowledgeable but I have had some disinterested cashiers who can make the whole experience be a downer as you...
Read moreA great natural health food store with a great variety of items. They seem to always have what I need whether its a vitamin or specialty health food product. While I moved farther away and am not there as often I am extremely happy to see that mask exemptions are respected here. I myself am not mask exempt and so that part doesn’t affect me directly, but after being in a different store and being left in tears after witnessing a horrific encounter of a mask exempt customer being bullied and publicly shamed by the store’s managers, it is a huge relief to know I will not be subject to witnessing a scene like that in this store. I am so grateful to see that Goodness Me is respecting its customers, staff and the City bylaw that allows for exemptions. Knowing that staff need to provide a doctors note for proof of mask exemption and then accommodating their needs by placing them in lower-traffic roles lets you know they are respecting their staff while also not taking these protocols lightly. Covid has taken a lot out of all of us but we must not forget kindness, understanding and respect for others. Thank you Goodness Me for being a leader and setting an example by treating all people with dignity...
Read moreLADY WHO WORKS IN KITCHEN AT THE COUNTER IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I have been a customer for over 20 years and have spent many thousands of dollars here and I will no longer be a customer again. GOODNESS ME HAS GONE DOWNHILL.I WAS SO RUDELY IGNORED BY THE LADY WHO WORKS AT THE KITCHEN, she will ignore you purposely even though she has seen you there waiting. She was asked by a coworker in the front who noticed me standing there for a while ,when she was just standing by the coffee cups. She then looked irritated when she was asked to help me by a coworker and asked me rudely what I wanted , I could not believe how rude she was. I asked for some food to be prepared to go and she didn’t even weigh my food when I asked her to. She just wrote $16.00 on the box. I then went to the front to cash out and I had it weighed and it was $8.98 or something. So she basically tried to rip me off. This interaction was so unpleasant that I will NEVER COME BACK. A word of advice to the owner is to hire people who aren’t rude to customers and actually...
