Calling all BBQ lovers! Uncle Sam's Smokehouse in Hamilton is a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered. They boast some of the most excellent BBQ I've had in recent memory, and their signature sauce is pure magic.

The Real Star: The BBQ
Now, let's get down to the real star of the show - the BBQ! We dove into a rack of their ribs, and let me tell you, they were absolutely phenomenal. The meat was cooked to absolute perfection - tender, juicy, and falling off the bone with every bite. The smoky flavor was incredible, and it all came together beautifully with their signature sauce. It had the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and smoky, and it complemented the ribs perfectly.
More Than Just Ribs:
We also tried their smoked chicken, and it was equally delicious. The smoky flavor permeated every bite, and the chicken itself was cooked to moist perfection. The sides were a bit of a mixed bag. The coleslaw was fantastic - creamy, crunchy, and with a touch of sweetness that cut through the richness of the BBQ. The beans, however, could use a little work. They weren't bad, but they didn't quite live up to the high standard set by the meats.
Overall, a Must-Try for BBQ Fans!
Despite the minor blip with the beans, Uncle Sam's Smokehouse is a definite winner in my book. The exceptional quality of the BBQ, the friendly service, and the welcoming atmosphere make it a place I highly recommend. New Award winning BBQ spot in Stoney Creek. If you're craving Ribfest type food all year round or you want good BBQ this is the spot. The food is legit FIRE as the kids would say. I got take out for my first visit it but I plan to be a regular moving forward. I may just move in the food was that good lol.
For my first visit I had brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese, and the Philly Cheese steak sandwich. I'll start with the meat. If I could use one word to describe the meat it would be PERFECT. The meat was moist, great BBQ smoke taste and the BBQ sauce brought it all together. The meat literally melted in your mouth. But the true test how AWESOME the meat was after refrigerating it over night and reheating the next day it tasted just as good. Can't wait to try the pulled chicken and ribs next with a side of that corn bread I saw.
The big winner for me out of my order was the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. I've been personally looking for a place to find a proper Philly Cheese Steak sandwich in the Stoney Creek area and I've been disappointed till now. Uncle Sam's Philly Cheese Steak sandwich is the TRUTH!!!! Trust me when I tell that this sandwich is AWESOME and I'm thankful for the Sandwich Gods for putting Uncle Sam Philly Cheese Steak in Stoney Creek =). Side note the seasoning they put on their fries makes the fries addictive in a good way.
To be honest I can continue on why you need to come check this place out if your from the Creek or your driving by the Creek. The good thing is Uncle Sam's is literally 5min right off the Fruitland exit, so do your self a favor and check it out if your driving by. Your taste buds will thank you. UPDATE (again): Back with more family members this past weekend to share the deliciousness that is found at Uncle Sam's BBQ. My partner and I are perhaps in a rut, but the 2 meat combo (ribs and pulled pork) delivers great taste, generous portions and such good value. Enjoy!

UPDATE! Since our first visit in April, we've had the Barbecue Box for a family event, which was an outstanding value. And we were back again with friends this past weekend. We corrected our rookie error from the first visit of not getting cornbread and went with the 2 meat combo again. So satisfying, so filling, and I'll say it again, great value! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Really great experience on our first visit to Uncle Sam's for lunch this Saturday. We've tried BBQ at other restaurants and enjoyed it, so we were keen to visit. There is quite a bit of indoor seating and a patio as well for nicer days. We shared the 2 meat combo with ribs and pulled pork as the meats, and both of us were full. The baked beans are absolutely delicious. Our only mistake was not getting cornbread to mop up the beans and barbecue sauce. The portions are generous. For the quantity served in the meal we had and the quality - extremely delicious - I feel they are doing a great job of providing value. Food (especially meat) has gotten very expensive, but the folks at Uncle Sam's are trying hard to offer their outstanding food at a reasonable price. Another local small business worth supporting! You'll be glad you did. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I'm already looking forward to a return trip.
