A&W Canada — Restaurant in Hanna

Rolled into Hanna, Alberta — the holy land of Nickelback. Naturally, I had to stop at A&W and order a BLT Chicken Burger meal. You know, just to feel closer to greatness.

Here’s my honest track-by-track breakdown:

🎵 “Photograph” – The Chicken Burger Instant classic. Crispy, juicy, and stacked with flavor. Every bite had me staring at my sandwich like “Look at this photograph…” It hit all the right notes. Honestly, I’d download this burger to my Spotify if I could.

🎵 “Someday” – The Fries Someday… these fries might have salt. Someday… they might taste like something. But not today. Limp, bland, and as disappointing as finding out your favorite band’s reunion tour is just a rumor. These fries didn’t even try to be good — they ghosted my taste buds like a bad ex.

🎵 “If Today Was Your Last Day” – The Meal Overall If today was my last day, I wouldn’t be mad I chose this chicken burger. But I’d definitely regret not subbing the fries for literally anything else — even a napkin might’ve had more flavor.

Staff were friendly, service was quick, and the burger rocked. But those fries? Total...

Ordered all Canadian breakfast i was asked to park, and they would bring it out.. Paid for cheese in my scrambled eggs got none. Also supposed to come with bacon; no bacon. Took 15 min to get my food which was cold and unedibile. This is the worst food I have ever had at A&W ever. I have ate at A&W least 45 yrs. I will never eat at this one again. Sad how quality of our food is not taken into account now days instead just pure profit is all that matters. In addition Employees who have no interest in customer service at all and, a cook who will send out cold garbage to feed the public is disgusting. This is not the only time I have had issues with this place. I have been in the area a year. I have seen the Employees handling money and also preparing food. Seems management may need...

For context, I moved to Hanna at the end of June but had nowhere to cook most of the summer. A&w was my go to for coffee and breakfast almost every day. Delores was fantastic. Friendly, courteous and always smiling. I did have to wait for my order a few times, but it was worth it. Burgers were and still are always great. 99% of the time all the staff are great. Let's face it - we can all have our off moments but they were few and far between here. I still enjoy stopping for a burger. Also, the comment about paper straws, I hear you, I also hate them and the terrible flavor of wet cardboard when having a drink. I purchased metal straws...
