Johnny's Bistro — Restaurant in Humboldt

On a road trip through Humboldt and we needed a place to have lunch. we checked reviews and this was at the top and it really should be. It did not take us long to get seated, service was relatively quick for the amount of people/wait staff. Our water glasses were always filled and the place was very cozy. We had the spinach dip as a starter which was a little too spinach tasting for our liking but we really liked that it was all pitas for the "chips" and the presentation was excellent. I had the Homer burger as per the Google review recommendation and I'm really glad I did. The sweetness of the donut and the sweet chili sauce gave it a very unique flavour that is different than any I've had before and the home cut fries were just the right amount of crispy. We come here often but I have to say tonight I was very disappointed. We got seated and waited 15min before our server brought us our water . We placed our order and waited almost an hour for our food to come, the restaurant was not busy at all and we have been there on multiple occasions with them being packed and our food got served a lot faster. My burger patty was totally burnt to a crips. I did notify the waiter and he did ask if he could get me another one but I have already waited so long for my food that I declined. It was a long day and I was looking forward to having a nice dinner before checking into my hotel. A local recommended Johnny's Bistro which is located right next to the Pioneer Hotel. I decided on the New York strip medium well. The meal came with a nice warm roll a choice of soup or salad potato with vegetables. The baked potato comes with sour cream chives and bacon.
