This small and local cafe is a stop we make every morning. It has become a ritual to begin our morning with “the usual”. You must try their maple latte made with oat milk. Every time I’ve come through Iqaluit for a stop, I’ve tried my best to get one. Their coffee is delicious, their feta and Parmesan danishes are soooo good! So are their breakfast sandwiches if you can manage to get one. I also recommend the lavender latte made decaf 👌🏾 They have lots of books, plants and Inuit art from around Nunavut. You’ll find there is limited seating and on weekends and early morning (0800-0900) it’s busy!! Overall, it’s a joy to see some of the Baristas, they’ll remember your name and ask what they can get started for you I will miss Black Heart until the next latte ☕️ 💛

Had a lovely and tasteful char sandwich with a group of fellow hikers while waiting for a flight back to Ottawa. This is a lively place with a healthy menu and a good coffee and drinks menu. Highly recommended. There are also some wall art reprints that are for sale behind a counter for $5 each. Good place to pick up something as souvenirs as well for a good price.

Best coffee shop in Nunavut! Seriously cool environment; there are plenty of patrons from a variety of age groups and backgrounds. The coffee and food is also surprisingly well priced. The area and bathrooms are large and kept super clean, and of course the music (and art) is great and provides an awesome setting for hanging out. I come any time I can!

? Cool trendy place got a Mocha was ok a bit bland... Tried the chocoalt croissant it was fresh and crispy but something was not quite right with it... Gluten free maybe? Or vegan? Dunno was leaving me looking for that particular flavor. Nice decor,

2022 update place is still riding on the fact that is the only coffee shop in town, tried a few items on the menu, from sandwiches to bakery lots and coffees ..all suffer from the same issues. overpriced and bland ....it's too bad I want to love the food there ....it's fresh made on, nothing is stale but still it leaves you feeling unsatisfied ...then there is the price....I don't mind paying for quality and location but still it doesn't amount to near good value....I beleive it is falling victim of its own popularity where the staff is more concerned about moving you along and how much "gratuity" you are forcefully invited to leave ...there fore less star then...

The staff are not kind nor friendly. Only the inuit girls are cool. All the other employees ignore you, don't look at the eyes or have like an repelling attitude, like you were some stinky fish.

The music is so loud!! So you cannot enjoy your conversation or do Anything at peace. Like everything in Iqaluit is expensive. But for me doesn't worth nor the environment nor the treatment not the beverages. I tried the matcha and I give it a 6 of 10. Caribrew is expensive too but they are polite and cool to enjoy conversation.

Otherwise go to the Tim Hortons and is better.

This place...
