I've been going here since 2010 with friends and it's a staple in Iqaluit. They do charge a coat fee of $1, but in the winter I totally get it. Our parkas take up lots of room so be prepared with your loonie or toonie. They have two levels; top has a few pool tables that are always busy along with a Foosball Table, seating and the bathrooms. Bottom level has the DJ Booth, dance floor, bar and more seating. I always love the big leather chairs as they're soo well worn in and comfortable. The atmosphere is everything from comfortable lounge to dance club on the weekends. They serve a nice selection of drinks along with beer from the local Brewery, Nubrew. But be warned, a king can of Growers Stonefruit will set you back $11.75. I recommend sticking to Spirits and Beer on tap. Typical for everything to cost more, so ask for prices if you must. They also have a restaurant located inside and I can remember far too many wing nights here as well. They food is good, typical pub style. The place is decorated with cool locals, by that I mean local animals. For those who have never seen a Muskox, you can say hello to the one mounted inside. From wolf to Polar Bear and even the headless Arctic Hare....they all make an appearance inside. For anyone also looking for locally made items, it is normal for locals to walk around and show their work available for purchase. If you see something you like, bartering is normal. But don't push your luck, someone else might buy it before you decide that saving that $10 isn't worth it and it's too late. There are some servers who take orders but going to the bar is something quicker. Line up, wait and soon you'll be on your way to not being as thirsty. It's also normal for the line to wind it's way up the stairs on a busy night.

I didnt go to many restaurants in Iqaluit, but of all the ones I went to, this was the best. We ordered pepperoni pizza and the grilled chicken burger. Both were really good and not too expensive compared to other places in Iqaluit. It was kinda weird how they wouldn't let us in without checking our coat but I guess that is to prevent dining and dashing? Not sure but either way I would recommend this restaurant.

The Storehouse is probably the most affordable dining option in Iqaluit outside of preparing one's own food. The food is consistently good - not great, but good - it is a bar after all. Service is incredibly friendly, though it may take a while to get to you. Be careful on Wednesdays - it is wing night and tends to fill up fast. Long and the short of it - definitely worth checking out!

I'd say was very nice location with other nearby essential stores to get to. Nice billiards area. Went for a co-worker gathering from doing concrete in the building and was a good experience. The other times I went with (co-workers)non locals & had felt was treated rudely by one of the older servers a couple of times, but got excellent service from 2 of the younger female servers and a guy who also took over for the older lady as I feel he felt she was being rude. All we did was walk in thinking it was open not from the area 5 minutes before opening and sat down to play pool but was greated rudely by the older lady when doors were open an we sat down willing to wait as we noticed they were just getting bar ready but was informed we have to wait to be served. Both co-workers felt an immediate rude demeanor towards our entrance not aware...

The food is passable. Ask what they are out of before getting your hopes up on any menu item. The staff put up with a lot, but the wait staff is generally cheerful to deal with during the supper hours. Sat for a long time waiting to be served this evening. They just don’t serve you at night. I’m not making fun of them: they actually don’t serve you. I’m guessing they have had a lot of people walk out without paying? You have to go to the bar to order.

The problem is they don’t tell you this or interact with you are all while you wait. Seemingly no matter how...
