Very overrated and overpriced. I went all out for the pleasure of a great meal. I did end up paying the price of a great meal but for very mediocre food. Can't say that i hadn't been warned but I decided to risk it and make my own opinion. The best thing about the food I got was the Ceasar salad. It was good, it was an authentic Ceasar salad, not the one with the cheap creamy dressing everyone calls a Ceasar salad these days. I had grilled octopus, which was good. But my main course... Yish... I had "filet mignon brûlé" which is a filet mignon with a melted cheese on top. I was curious! Very meh combination i thought. I asked for medium rare, i got bluuuee, very very blue. My friend asked for medium, he got blue too. The waitress (who was nice and very frequently at our table) did ask if we were satisfied with the cooking but... What do you want me to say, I'm Canadian, I'm overly polite, i did not complain. My bad really, that's on me. But it's still mind boggling that they could get it so wrong! Then what can I say about the vegetables that were in my plate... Hum... It reminded me of working at the hospital. Boiled, plain (i mean no seasoning what so ever) and just all the cheapest kind. Hospital cafeteria side dishes... I think that was what killed my fun the most. I had said yes to the extra mushrooms. It was alright but they charge you extra for a mountain of ok sauteed mushrooms that should have been the basic veggies in your very expensive plate. Mashed potatoes were plain and i felt sorry that i could make better ones cause I do not consider myself very good at it. My bill was as expected: $$$$ but for one of my worst food experience i have ever had. I do feel bitter hence HAD to express myself here. We had many problems placing pick up order through DoorDash. Showing up and having to wait with lack of support from the staff on site.
After my last visit, I decided to give the restaurant another try. They did give us a 50$ gift card for the troubles from our previous experiences and when I showed up, Costa heard I was there and came to the front immediately to offer his sincerest apologies for how the staff were the last time.
When dealing with Costa, you can tell he truly cares. It’s not just about trying to get the customers to change their review but he honestly truly cares. He is able to empathize with people and understand why in each unique situation can cause unwanted emotions towards the restaurant.

Read morePrime Rib was day old and was served brown due to the reheating of the cut of meat. We asked for todays prime rib and was told this was how they did it there by using the prior days roast. The reheating also caused overcooking of the outside of the meat leaving only a small section in the middle having a hint of pink. We were not offered another option even with our displeasure voices politely to the staff. To save the day I thought to ask for horse radish to make it more palatable. Unfortunately this was dry and lacking flavour as well. My first attempt at prime rib in Quebec and perhaps it’s just a cultural difference in my expectations.
