2nd response: given the owner's response and claiming no accountability, best just to leave this one where it lies. Both the send message on Fbook and the website link are now fixed. A shame thatbthe reply was so defensive. Initial review.
I'd love to have a chat with the owner of this place prior to submitting a full review, unless one of the two ladies behind the counter was the owner..... then I'm pretty sure what the outcome would be. There is no 'message' tab on the Facebook page, the link to the website is dead. As for the coffee.... no point in complaining to deft ears.
I tried calling but there was no answer. So, here goes; Service.... no greeting, nothing resembling friendly, I disturbed a conversation between the two ladies. Coffee, ranks up with some of the worst ever..... I dumped in a few kms down the road, something foul tasting and chunks of something in the bottom of the cup. Price.... $3.75 for a drip coffee? Things cost, I get it so paying that for a great cup is fine in my world, but not in this case.
Things are tough right now for small business, it's a good time to elevate customer service. This review isn't to discourage others from trying this spot, it's in hopes that the ownership can do some things to ensure that others who drop into support the Bistro, don't have the same...
Read moreWhen we had arrived at this place we weren't sure how it worked. If we seat ourselves or we wait to be seated or we order the food at the counter and then seat ourselves. So we waited by the door and saw that the staff seemed to be having a difficult time figuring out orders and what they were doing. Which I understand, as I worked in places like this, but it was a while before we were even addressed, even with them passing us by a few times. When we finally were addressed, they asked us if we were picking up an order and we said we are looking for a place to sit. And they said "okay" and left us standing there again. Then they came back again asking what we were there for, and as we said we wanted to dine in, they said "Oh sorry, the kitchen is closed." And then proceeded to turn off the "Open" sign, and continued to work on her other orders.
It's a shame because the other reviews say positive things about the food, and we didn't get a chance to try it, but if I may, I recommend that you put a sign that indicates what one does when they arrive like "please seat yourself" or "wait to be seated." Plus a simple "Will be with you in a moment"...
Read moreMy wife and I decided to go for breakfast, and this place by the ratings seemed good. Soon as we talked into the building our ears were ripped off by the loudest singing women right early in the morning( not exactly what people want to hear first thing in the am) we waited in line and the young lady took our order. We it machine prompted me to pay there was a tip selection, but thing is my food hasn’t even been made nor have I been served. Finally when we finished ordering all the tables we could have sit at have dirty plates, cups, and napkins on it…so I ended up having to clean my own table so I can actually have a seat with my wife. The food finally came out at a half decent time but when we got our plates you feel Immediately gouged for your money. I asked the lady who brought our food for some jam for my toast she rolled her eyes and went for the jam. The food was good but this place definitely needs some improvements, I see a lot of 5 stars but that’s crazy. If you go to this place anyone I suggest tipping nothing at the till when you buy your food and...
