Came here to review the best caesar I have ever had! Served with a deep fried pickle and pepperoni stick. Basically an appetizer. We went twice in 2 days. I reccomend the cauliflower wings. They are crunchy and delicious. Also, I reccomend the beef dip. It's also a very good price. One thing to note is that the fries are not very good. Processed and frozen tasting. 2nd time there we ordered onion rings instead and they were delicious. As a pub atmosphere, you should definitely have your fries as perfection! Otherwise, a fantastic experience.

Great, casual food restaurant. We popped in on a Saturday for dinner, as it's a scenic drive/ferry from Cranbrook. We we able to have the prime rib dinner which was the Saturday special Good sized portions, perfectly cooked. Great service and reasonable prices. Next time we will come with friends and likely stay at the hotel. Worth a visit.

The lady at the visitor centre in Nelson recommended this place to eat when in Kaslo. Hours are very convenient and we really liked the food! My steak salad was tasty and the steak so tender and nicely cooked! The beef dip was great. We loved the atmosphere too.

Really disappointing experience.

We came in during what we thought was happy hour. When our server mentioned ā€œ50% off appetizers,ā€ we double-checked and clearly asked to confirm. She told us yes, it was 50% off. At the end of the meal, we were surprised to see only 15% off on the bill. When we brought it up, the server denied ever saying 50% and told us it’s only ever been 15%, which was frustrating because we had asked specifically. The restaurant wasn’t loud or busy, so there wasn’t really any room for confusion.

Even aside from that, the service was terrible. The server said she’d be back to take our orders and then just never returned. She kept checking on other tables while completely ignoring ours. After waiting way too long, the hostess ended up taking our order. Only then did the server finally come back, clearly realizing she had messed up.

No one ever came to refill our water or ask about drinks, even though we saw the server checking in and refilling for other tables around us. Thankfully, another server who wasn’t even ours noticed and kindly refilled our drinks. He was actually attentive and professional, which really stood out.

Then two of our burgers came out raw in the middle. The kitchen did remake them, which we appreciated, but by then our fries were cold and it felt like an afterthought. The new burgers were clearly overcooked to make sure they weren’t raw again. They were okay, but not great.

What really surprised us was that the restaurant didn’t offer any kind of discount or comp for serving raw food. Not even a small gesture. Most places would have done something to acknowledge it, especially after everything else that went wrong.

A nice gentleman, possibly the owner, did come by and was kind, which we appreciated. But by that point, the experience had already been ruined.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Between the miscommunication, poor service, raw food, and lack of accountability, I really can’t...

Being on vacation, we were in a great mood. The sever approached asked ā€œare you drinking more than water tonight? ā€œ. Seemed odd & aggressive almost… but we ordered cocktails and continued to be excited. The drinks came… meh… but still ok. When the server returned, we’d ordered nachos with a side of guacamole. It took some time, so when the server came back, we’d reviewed the beer menu. 3 of the beer options were local options, read ā€˜rotating taps’. I’d decided on a beer, but still wanted to know about the rotating taps. I ordered a beer, then started asking about the other taps. The sever pointed to my husband’s drink telling me ā€˜he’s not ready for a drink yet’. Wow! Taken aback, I advised I just had a question. She had no idea about the taps. She knew the names but nothing more… one sounded like a sour… she said ā€˜something like that’. She couldn’t tell us what kind of beer anything was. Moving on… our nachos were delivered by someone else. A manager? The $6 guacamole was laughable. I asked if the 1/2 remakin was the guacamole we’d ordered. Mostly jokingly but also not, she said yes, quickly walking away. FYI - the guacamole was from a bag / tub. Not homemade. Gross! I’m happy to pay extra. We love guacamole! This was ridiculous. Anyway… the same ā€˜manager?’ Then proceeded to talk to our server. By this time… we were deflated. I’m about to cry. The service gets worse. I honestly feel we’d been marked because I had asked about the ridiculous guacamole. This hotel. This restaurant. This experience has been horrible!! We do not travel a lot. We both have hospitality backgrounds. We still tipped wayyy more than we should have. I didn’t take a pic… but if you know a standard ramekin, it was 1/2 full! The entire experience was dreadful. Poor management? Who knows. Never again. Don’t stay here. Don’t eat here. If traveling, keep going. Amazing views are not worth the crap...

My Wife and I were walking around downtown and decided to get something to eat. With so many choices, I can honestly say that we made a mistake in choosing to eat here. First, we read a sign outside about the prime rib dinner. After we sat down and started to order we were told that the prime rib wasn't available until 5:00pm. The signage outside didn't say this. So, we selected something else. I had the 2 piece halibut meal and it was good. My Wife had the Pasta dish with Alfredo and chorizo. It also was good. We ordered an appetizer with prawns, tuna, cucumbers etc... it also came with tortilla chips but no salsa. We asked about the salsa and was told that they ran out of salsa. When we asked the waiter before ordering it he described this dish and said it has salsa. I honestly think that we should have been asked if without salsa was acceptable to us. Next, I ordered a coke and my Wife and Corona. Our server was the bartender who stood behind the bar for 20 minutes talking about himself and what he did for lunch. I waved in his direction several times to get another beer and a refill for my coke and he seemed oblivious to our presence. The entire time he just kept talking at a level that was really excessive considering that he had customers that required his services. I can assure you that we will not be returning to...
