Previously 5 star rating. Clear decline in quality. Spoke with Owner and reviewed the product together. He seemed puzzled by a cheese slightly piled & slid on one side and inadequate number of "double" pepperoni paid for. Seemed "challenged" on what to do or what I wanted... I simply wanted what I paid for. What is reasonable expected. An "extra" or additional request should be explained and politely requested of a service provider - that's fair. When you run a business and the quality breaks down, falls down or fails, YOU make it right. YOU fix it. YOU mitigate. YOU figure it out. Not the customer. Not a return/repeat customer. Certainly NOT a customer who takes the time to RAVE - 5 Star review and recommend your establishment. Especially in this economy and difficult times for a lot of consumers and their disposable income and take out. I took 5 minutes of MY time time to write a positive review. Like many people I don't have, or make time for reviews... The decline was repeated and took months. To seem puzzled, indifferent to my advocacy & support of this business and finally hand me a "few bucks" back, after weird silence and asking ME what to do??? NO PROBLEM. I'll take 15 minutes of my time and craft a review that should make others consider IF they feel that they want to spend their hard earned money at this establishment. I'm not disparaging the character or personality of the business Owner himself. I am disparaging the quality of a pricey very basic consumable product (a Pizza) over several occasions. There is no excuse for sloppiness, malaise or indifference to selling a product or service, especially food "presentation". My politeness and patience ran out. I didn't ask for much and on that ... Riverbank Pizza "delivered" in kind.
I will not be back. I take back my previous 5 Star review. I recommend that people find an alternative or accept luck and mediocracy at this Pizza spot. Photos of the sub-standard product would have benefitted this review. I was so disappointed, it wasn't even on my mind. 0 to -2 Stars...
Read moreI've ordered from here a few times and found the Pizza decent. But it takes them over an hour to make it for pickup and they are not very friendly when you phone. They always kind of sound like they don't need the business. And an extra large pizza is the size of a large and a large is the size of a medium Pizza in most places and a medium is like a small. I asked for extra cheese on an extra large pizza and was told it would be $8 more. So the pizza was going to come to $37. For bacon, pepperoni, sausage and extra cheese. I called Godfather's Pizza in Fenelon Falls which we always find to be excellent and ordered an extra large pizza with those ingredients and two pops for $32 and the pizza was huge. Much larger then Riverbanks version of an extra large.plus 2 pops. And it was available for me to pick it up within 15 minutes. Much friendlier service! So for me it is worth a little bit further drive to get a better pizza with better service at a...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this pizza joint on our way to Algonquin Provincial Park, and based on the online reviews, it seemed like a popular spot. The place had an open kitchen with a cozy small-town vibe, located right beside a small lakeâperfect for grabbing a pizza to go. I didnât notice any indoor seating, so it seems more like a takeaway spot. They had a huge variety of pizzas, and we went for a vegetarian one. Unfortunately, I wasnât a big fan as it didnât seem fully cooked, and the sauce wasnât as flavorful as Iâd hoped. It was loaded with veggies, but the green peppers were still crunchy. If you like a more al dente pizza, you might enjoy it, but Iâd recommend asking for a thinner, crispier base. The server was getting calls non-stop for takeout, which suggests itâs a local favoriteâmaybe we just didnât order it...
