Stop by during father day with my family after leaving our cottage. and a girl working on drinks for the front counter is not having a good day that she was rolling her eyes and mouthing inappropriate work underneath her breath. I was holding my son on my hip and she handed me 2 drink and i ask for a tray as my other hand is currently occupied holding my son and a bag of food. she rolled her eyes and rudely walked away. I ordered Ice caps so it's common sense that it should come with straws. i patiently waited for her to come back to ask for straws. and when she did come back i ask for a straw and just rudely told me "there right here" yes i mistakenly over looked where they are, but is it really that bad or hard to respectfully say "there just right here" " or there just in front of the cash registers" everyone can have bad days but dont ruin everyone else's by being rude especially if you work in customer service. I normally ignore these type of things as im not going to waste my time typing and complaining. but i have time now. a piece of advice from someone who used to work in customer service/fast food restaurants. if you let your self get annoyed throughout your shift you'll just be miserable for next few hours. instead "just fake till you make it" try to have fun in your shift laugh with your co workers, if there music playing do little dances. also this girl was so pretty and she did her make up so good, it a shame she has so much attitude for the...
Read moreWhat a pleasant surprise! I popped in there (inside) this morning, got my food in a very reasonable amount of time, and the farmers wraps were delicious (and good coffee!!).
So let me tell you why this is a pleasant surprise for me:
This is a small town Tim Hortons, and in my experience those ones usually have slower service than what I get in the big city. Now, add to the fact that in Coboconk today there's some sort of special event going on so you've got a lot more people in town than usual, and there's been a power outage for several days so you have cottagers here trying to get some food, and you've got Hydro workers coming to get coffee and food before their shift starts to fix the downed power lines.
The team inside was incredibly hard-working. Everyone I saw was hustling, and they were making it happen.
Normally in a Tim Hortons the drive-thru seems to get priority and inside takes longer to get my order at a typical Tim's, but even though I was inside today I found my order was ready in a very reasonable amount of time, and I could just see them hustling like crazy behind the counter, filling so many orders quickly. So considering how swamped they were with customers I was very pleased to get my order that fast.
Hats off to this team, and congratulations for their very hard work to make it a smooth experience at such a busy time. Well done Coboconk...
Read moreI don't know what to say. Overall not a good experience. From being moved from one place to another, having wine spilt on me at dinner, changed seating 3 times. Activities disjointed. The facility doesn't flow and a lot of walking. Most of the shows were great. Improv probably not the best for a family event. Ask inclusive is subjective because you have to pay extra for a lot of things including popcorn at shows which is a cheap product. Most staff were helpful especially the front desk. They were great. Won't be going back. A lot of people seem to return year and year but they like the place based on the past according to conversations we had. The buildings are tired and need some TLC. For the price which was not cheap, I expected more. I guess my expectations based on other resorts...
