Subway — Restaurant in Kawartha Lakes

After an absolute gem of a long weekend, my friends and i decided to stop by at this subway (the most dreadful location i have ever been to). We decided to order some subs, myself being a vegetarian they didnt have many options. Therefore, i walked about 600mts away to get a bowl of soup from timhortons for myself. I come back with the soup, and all of us have our food out side the subway.

We had our food (not to forget how my friends told me the subway sandwich maker was stingy while putting toppings), and are about to leave. Couldn't find no trashbin outside, so one of my friends decides to bring the trash inside the store to use trashbin. Looking at my timhortons soup bowl, one of the employees asks my friend to stop and didn't allow her to use the bin as our trash included my bowl of timhortons soup. So we decide to leave the trash in a corner outside the store as we didn't wanna litter.

One of the lady employees that worked there (possibly the manager), comes out of the store and picks up the trash to throw it on my car. A bit of soup left in the bowl splashed all over my trunk and rear windshield.

Like how dare that ill-mannered lady to throw it at my car, while we left it nicely outside in a corner. Totally ridiculous of them. The business owner comes in the scene, only to make the whole situation worse. I asked him to get someone clean my car and we call it even, but all he had to say was call the cops and we will go from there. Very rude, ignorant, arrogant and full of attitude.

Wouldn't even give us a bucket of water and a rag to clean my car, when asked for it. All they had to say was do whatever you want and call the cops for more assistance.

Total dbags, these guys. Please do not deal with the lady employee (possibly the manager) there, if you like being treated nice and your self respect.

As per my friends, the staff couldn't even communicate properly. My friends had to use their hand gestures to help them build their subway sandwiches. At least learn those basics, you fools.

I’m not really sure what has happened to this Subway location. Have they a new owner or manager? This location used to be so good. I’d go there at least two or three times a week. Two weeks ago a friend his parents and I decided we would like Subs for dinner. My buddy went to the store for us all. I had just received a card and coupons for Subway so we decided to put it to use. Two of the sandwiches were foot longs. One meatball and one pizza sub. They should have honoured the coupons. The clerk would not accept a coupon for these two Subs and apparently gave excuses a mile long as to why??? The coupon should have been honoured as written but the clerk charged us for 1 1/2 sandwiches. That totally confused me. The other two were Six inch sandwiches and again the coupons said buy one six inch get a second free. The clerk again would not honour the coupon and she would not accept it therefore we were charged for two six inch subs. What a fiasco! This past Sunday being February 13, 2022 my buddy and I decided to have a Sub. One Itallian BMT. When I opened the BMT sandwich there was no ham on it. The bun tasted like it had been baked three days ago. The toppings were minimal and there was no sauces what so ever. I tried to make the best of a bad situation by trying to sauce it myself but it was just so dry it was like eating sawdust. Furthermore the meat tasted off. After the second bite I could not eat another bite. It tasted rotten. That night after just two bites my stomach felt sick and it was like I wanted to throw up. Monday I asked my buddy how his sandwich was? He said he thought the taste was off and through the night he was sick to his stomach as well. What a disappointing dinner that cost $27.64. This is the most I've ever been disappointed in a sandwich I've received from this Subway location. I have worked in a sub shop previously, and we all know there is an amount of each ingredient that we are supposed to go by when making a sub. But you never outright refuse a paying customer on wanting more, it's just downright disrespectful and looks bad on the store. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the woman who worked the shift today (07/09/25 around 6:30/7 pm), but she is known among multiple people i know, as rude and incompetent. For example, today my brother went to pick up an order for our family, and she gave us stale bread, the wrong cheese, and about as much cheese and meat that is meant for a 6inch, on our 12inches! She has also flat out refused to serve a friend of mine any extra toppings, even though he is a paying customer, and even offered to pay extra. Horrible service, mediocre food. Don't even bother going here when this girl is working if you know who I'm talking about.
