Went in here today to catch up with a friend and have coffee. Upon entering I noticed - as per usual - that there were very few open tables. Unfortunately the reason for this was not an excess of customers but one table and a number of chairs being taken up by 6 or 7 Starbucks Employees!! The chairs had been taken from other tables leaving the tables open but nowhere to sit. When I asked the person behind the counter if there were any chairs where we could sit, she looked around blankly but said nothing. I mentioned and pointed out to her that All the Staff were taking up the only places to sit and she along with another member of staff just looked around all confused. It appeared that the staff were having some kind of training, which I understand is necessary - however what is NOT necessary is the staff taking all the chairs while the PAYING CUSTOMERS have nowhere to sit. As I work in the same Mall, I know that this training session was being done at a peak time - not very smart and myself having been in Tourism and Customer Service for over 20 years, I believe this is totally unacceptable, but what is more unacceptable is nobody - Senior Staff or otherwise did anything to try and alleviate the situation. Bad Customer...
Read moreI made a decision today to switch my chai tea from Timmys to Starbucks because Timmys gets my tea wrong 9 out of 10 times and I go there minimum 2 times a day. I know I am not the everyday order, however, I am allergic to coffee and thus drink tea.. I drink it with 2 milk (not cream) and 4 honey. At your Starbucks today on Gordon and Harvey, I was excited to be greeted with a pleasant young woman who understood my order...I thought. Not only did I receive a tea with NO honey but I received a lid that did NOT fit. Furthermore, the cup itself was so soft and weak that when I picked it up it squeezed in. Needless to say I spilled my tea in my nice truck and was unable to have the comforting tea I deserved after a hard days work. Not a pleasant first time experience. I really expected much higher standards from Starbucks. I am taking my tai chi and myself off the grid! I am happy to be out of the Covid era but seriously, since then there is almost no such thing as Customer Service or basic knowledge, skill and...
Read moreWas there on Friday February 11 in the afternoon getting an iced latte after attending the hospital. I was disappointed to see one gentleman in the store not wearing a mask and trying to stuff his chin into his collar while waiting for his coffee. A second gentleman walked in not wearing a mask and didn’t even attempt to cover up. Both these guys knew each other and engaged in a long conversation about skiing right in the middle of the coffee shop while everyone else followed the law to protect the staff and other patrons. It was quite a contrast coming from the hospital and seeing people lining the halls. Where was the manager? They should be supporting staff, it’s not up to some poor counter person to remind people to cover up until the law is changed. I’ll never go back to this store because the manager obviously doesn’t care...
