Boston Pizza Kincardine was clean and "well staffed" during our visit last month. We stopped in to check out new vegan/vegetarian items had been added to the menu. Our server was friendly and helpful, and could have been more attentive. Throughout the visit we waited for long periods of time for her and on three occassions had to trouble other wait staff to locate her for us.
It turned out that the gluten free accommodations we required on some of the new menu items could not be met by the kitchen. *We had asked if rice could be substituted for quinoa as it is not a suitable option for me.
We were told that vegan friendly cheese was available on pizza, so we ordered a vegan friendly pizza. On the day of our visit however, there was NONE in the kitchen and someone had to be sent to a grocery store to purchase some. While it was nice that some was purchased, it was disappointing that nothing was communicated to us. Had the server returned during our 40min!!! wait to communicate that something was going on, we could have possibly tried a different menu item, or made a choice about waiting for so long. But as it was handled, we weren't afforded the courtesy of an explanation until the meals arrived. Not communicating was a disappointment, and did not leave us with a good impression of Boston Pizza.
Overall the food was just ok. Not exceptional or especially tasty, just ok. The service was also ok, but there were opportunities where it could have been top-notch.
(This is probably a corporate level issue, but:) The inflexibility of the kitchen to accommodate and/or modify, restricts diners and interferes with the value of the meal.
The restaurant is somewhat navigable for patrons with stollers, but some areas would present a tight squeeze and/or great difficulty, for persons with mobility aids. It is a large restaurant, has a large wrap-around patio and ample parking. The evening that we were in, there was no real (sports) game on, so the volume in the place was comfortable.

Read moreThis was hands-down the best Boston Pizza experience we have ever had and we’ve been to a LOT of different locations. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the hostess. Our server was Navreen and she was as exceptional. She was kind and attentive to the point that she even noticed the sun was shining in my daughter’s eyes and attempted to adjust the blinds to make her more comfortable. Our food arrived quickly, it was hot and the portion sizes were better than we’ve received at other locations. The bathrooms are clean! The whole place is clean and looks well-kept. All the staff we had the pleasure of interacting with were so warm and friendly, it truly felt like they were happy we were there and that they wanted us to enjoy our time there. We spoke with the manager about what a positive experience we had and he was equally as kind and appreciative as everyone else. We also saw the manager running food and seating tables which is always great to see! We are from out of town but this will absolutely be our go-to spot the next time we’re in Kincardine!
UPDATE: June 30, 2025 We visited this location again, looking forward to another great experience. Unfortunately it was the complete opposite. We are so disappointed. We weren’t given cutlery, napkins, share plates (despite ordering 3 appetizers), we were never offered refills of our drinks, our server never once came by to see if we needed anything or if the food was alright. It wasn’t busy AT ALL. There were literally 4 other tables in the whole restaurant. The tables around us were left dirty, covered with plates of half eaten food. Our meals were subpar. Overall, a huge let down in comparison to our first visit here. I’ve had to adjust my review from 5...
Read moreSo I went into BP yesterday to pick up my order and pay, I was greeted by one staff member likely a waitress at the front with such disrespect. She asked me to put on a mask at which I replied I am sorry but I will not be putting on a mask as I have a medical exemption. She then requested a "receipt" for my exemption (not sure what kind of terminology that is). I then politely explained the laws and that she cannot request my medical information due to multiple privacy laws. She then stormed off and continued to shame in front of other employees and whoever else was in the restaurant. I continued to be polite to everyone else. Paid for my food and let. I will say I am very confident in my rights and myself, however I felt so ashamed and embarrassed. After thinking about this all night and the next day I decided I should make a review and warn others from having this type of embarrassment. Be kind and respectful to everyone and show people around you kindness. These are challenging times and I just wanted to have a good dinner at home with my children, instead the mood was dampered over some person wanting my personal information. please people know your rights and freedoms as a canadian and don't pass judgement onto others. I suppose BP has lost my business and I have given them a lot of business over the last 5 years. Be...
