If you're a fan of Indian cuisine, you must try Raja Chettinad Fine Indian Cuisine. I recently visited this restaurant and was blown away by the quality of the food and the level of service. The restaurant serves both South and North Indian dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. The menu has a wide variety of options to choose from, and the flavors of each dish are perfectly balanced. The spices used in the dishes are just right, not too overpowering, and not too mild. The biryanis are especially noteworthy, with fragrant basmati rice and perfectly cooked meat or vegetables. The restaurant has a spacious and comfortable seating area, with plenty of space to accommodate large groups or families. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with soft lighting and tasteful decor. The staff at Raja Chettinad Fine Indian Cuisine is friendly and attentive, ensuring that all customers are well taken care of. They are knowledgeable about the menu and are happy to make recommendations based on your preferences. Overall, I highly recommend Raja Chettinad Fine Indian Cuisine to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine with excellent service. This restaurant is a must-visit for foodies and those looking for a great dining experience.

This our first experience here and it was not good. We were looking for Indian food and stumbled upon this place coz of its rating. That set our expectations high. We ordered take out 2 items and were not satisfied with either of them. So here it goes: Location of this restaurant is pretty good with not too many parking spots available. This means that it is expected to find a parking spot a bit difficult during busy times. The entrance is not handicapped accessible and therefore, they loose one star. They do have patio available so you can sit outside and enjoy the food, weather permitting. The indoor seating space is good as well however, they have not blocked one table between two for COVID precautions. The quality of the food as informed earlier did not meet our expectations. Here are the reviews: Paneer Jalfrezi - we ordered on the phone and asked them to suggest a good item of paneer. They suggested Jalfrezi, however, I believe they gave us Butter Paneer. We specifically asked for medium spicy but on the contrary it was super sweet!!! So not sure what happened there. So, we are pretty sure we were not served Paneer Jalfrezi else it was too bad in quality. However, the quality of paneer was really good, very soft! Therefore we highly recommend this place for ppl with very less spicy tolerance. If you are looking for spicy food you might wanna double check with them before ordering. Hence, Paneer Jalfrezi gets 2 out of 5. Pulav - very very disappointed with the Pulav. They suggested us peas Pulav and we thought it should be pretty good since we were looking for jeera rice. However, when we ate Pulav we could see that either they were in super hurry to serve us or they had something else to focus on. The rice was not cooked properly and they missed salt too. In addition, we believe that the price didn't justify the quality at all! Hence, Pulav gets 1 out of 5. Overall, not to speak like a broken record, pls order from here if your spice tolerance is very less. We will try another time but not sure when and we will ensure to inform that we would like spicy food. The good is definitely overpriced too since the quality and quantity does not justify the price. Therefore, they get 2 out of 5.

We recently drove past this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. We ordered on Uber and went in to get the food. The pick up kept getting postponed and finally showed as ready for pick up. When we went in we were told it's still not ready. We ended up waiting longer before we got the food. This also has been a constant thing with orders here as we have ordered multiple times, so I would say order atleast 1-1.5 hrs before you actually want the food! Plus it's a task trying to flag someone down just to ask about the progress of your order! The food here has been at both spectrums but the good has outweighed the bad so far! We liked the chicken chukka curry and chicken 65 and loved the chicken chukka Biryani! We have come back only because of these dishes. The parotta is cheaper than similar locations but the taste isn't very authentic. Wasn't too impressed with that. Also the fish fry wasn't the best we've had. The skin wasn't crispy and the flesh didn't seem to have any taste of the marinade or the masalas. These were pretty disappointing. We also tried the chicken lollipop Biryani and you can definitely give it a miss. The green mirch tikka was pretty good too. Overall the food has been a hit or a miss. Been lucky to have had some great dishes with mediocre or bad ones. I can definitely see getting the least favourites in a single order and never coming back. Service has left a lot to be desired too! Says something when it's about a takeout which should involve the least service/interaction. Perhaps more staff is needed, especially during the busy periods! This restaurant is also open later than many restaurants around so that's a positive.

Hungry in the afternoon and needed a place to dine in. Found this fine dine restaurant through reviews. Welcoming was just a quick entrance, and staff greeted 2 of us. They made seating arrangements as I liked a nice cozy place with an outside view. The order was to be made online through a QR scanner placed on the table, I did not like this approach as an option should be given to choose between going online and ordering offline. I like the offline approach. The food was served. The presentation was good for the smokey grilled items. The biryani was overflowing from the container it was served. Requested for an approach to serve as I wasn't ready to make the food getting scattered, but the waiter refused. The smokey items were not in enough quantity as per the price. Overall, the food was tasty, filled my appetite, and had a full appreciation for the kitchen staff. The discount was provided at the end after we provided a review. That is a good approach, but rather than the discount, I would appreciate it if the food on the platter defined the price. Hopefully, I wish to come again only if things are better by price and service.

Clean, well decorated dining room. Clean properly supplied washroom. Outside there is a nice out door space likely for outdoor dining in summer. Lots of parking. The staff is wonderful! I have celiac disease, and the server helped me choose a gluten-free meal with Eysore(sp) dosia, with potatoes and vegetables and 4 dips. It was so large I wasnโt sure I could eat it all. Also a dish of perfectly seasoned and spicy chicken curry. Every thing was well present and hot and delicious. Not a long wait for it after ordering too. Also I had a cup of mango lassie. Never had it before. It was delicious! Sweet but not two sweet. And the subtle taste of mango was delightful. I planned on dessert but was so full I could not handle any more food. The staff were regularly checking if it was good ? Do I need any thing more? Am I ok? and so on. They were so friendly and pleased when I gave honest but positive replies. I have absolutely no complaints. I hope to go back some time. I noticed a couple of families, who like me , needed help to choose a meal. There are so many choices. I have the menu so I hope to go back and try other dishes.

I recently visited the restaurant as I have had good experience in past. But itโs not same anymore. We ordered vada yogurt (sweet) and baby corn Manchurian as appetizers. In Vada yogurt, the yogurt was thin like lassi and wada were so hard and not fresh. I hav had same dish at other places that serve South Indian food and itโs allways with thick yogurt and drab and crispy wada. I rate this dish as 0, Next babat corn Manchurian was good and I liked it. Then we ordered shahi paneer or paneer makhani. When it came we were shocked with the size of serving. It was in small kadahi barely 5-6 inch diameter. I am adding picture for tut perspective. Then we sighed into the taste and taste was below average as compared to other places in Waterloo. This was overly priced at $16 that has small pieces of cottage cheese. In the last when I visited this place, the quantity and taste were great. Itโs not there anymore. I donโt about non- veg dishes but if you are vegetarian then I wonโt suggest this place anymore. Service has gone down significantly also.
