I have been going to this Tim’s for years, every evening after supper to grab a take out coffee. I am shocked at how dirty this location has become over the last 3 weeks or so. The counters where you pay are dirty, crumbs, dried on coffee spills, dust on the debit machines, etc. Even some kind of black grease marks. What you see behind the counter where they have the specialty coffee/ drink machines is even worse. Tonight they had a dirty rag on the floor where the staff work. Water spills. I used to love the evening staff in there. Josh and Sam on the weekends, busted their butts cleaning and rushing around trying to do everything. Place was always clean and spotless. I hear Sam has left and I don’t know when Josh works anymore. But both great hardworking students. Monday to Friday evening there is usually Denise, also a lovely hardworking lady who’s been there a long time. Always kept everything clean and spotless. Well it appears Denise doesn’t have shifts every week night anymore, looks like maybe they’ve cut her shifts? But sure miss seeing her every week night. And I must give credit to a young, sweet very personable hard worker who I think is called Nave or Neve. She is lovely and I always see her running around trying to do everything. But the rest of the staff, all new people it seems and apparently cleanliness is not a priority for them. Also there’s some new manager or assistant manager? Called Anveet? Don’t like listening to her bully staff and calling one of them a monkey. I don’t know if this location is under new ownership or management but the staff I see in there now, and I will point out I always go around 7 pm or after, they appear new and apparently don’t like cleaning. Or understand when I place my order. I say double double, the one girl gave me black ? My biggest complaint is how dirty this location has become. Front counters, behind the counters, the floors, all of it. Just gross. What is going on? I’ve started to try other locations and the Tims at Frederick St mall is pristine compared to 1020 Ottawa st. I’m starting to tell friends to avoid this location. How can a place change so much in a month? It’s seriously becoming a dive. I thought Hortons had a certain standard they maintained? Apparently not at this locat ion. I FORGOT TO MENTION ANOTHER STAFF MEMBER WHO IS AN ALL STAR AT THIS LOCATION. I BELIEVE HER HER NAME IS SHEIMA Unfortunately I don't see her working very often but she is always friendly personable, just great. I got an owner response to go to another site to describe how my experience at this location. I'm not going to, I think I adequately described by concerns in...
Read moreI have been debating whether or not to write this review but the altercation has been weighing on me. Last week Thursday (September 11th) early afternoon I was here at this Tim Hortons. I come here quite frequently (about every other day) as I live locally. I had an interaction with a man who introduced himself as the owner (red haired male). I had been in ‘his’ establishment sat down eating McDonalds. I understand some places may not like customers bringing in outside food however there was no policy posted for customers to visually see. The owner approached me and began to tell me about how I was sat there eating outside food I had brought into his establishment. I understood his point. However, the tone and nature in which he was speaking to me is my issue here. The man had started telling me about how myself as well as the teenagers that come in with our outside food are essentially disrupting and taking away from his business. He began to tell me that ‘his tables pay his rent’. Understandable. I’m just wondering where the comparison to high school students comes in. My other issue is that he was being very unreasonable and turning the issue into something more than need be. I began packing up my food as he started talking to me. I sat and I listened to all he had to say although I wasn’t entirely favouring his approach nor tone. I had told him that I’m a frequent customer. I stated that ‘who is to say I wouldn’t get my coffee as I usually do once I finish my food.’ I asked him, ‘ok so, if I were to have a coffee on my table right now or if I were to walk up and order one right now, would it change anything?’ He stated to me, ‘I would rather you have ordered food from my business.’ I then said, ‘so what you’re telling me is that even if I had a coffee or SOMETHING here at my table purchased from your establishment there would still be an issue?’ to which he never responded. This whole situation made me feel incredibly uncomfortable as I felt specifically targeted and caught in an altercation with a man who would not reason with me. The way I view it is that he essentially was telling me he doesn’t care for me to be in his establishment, nor does he care for my business. Unfortunately due to this altercation this Tim Hortons has now lost my business, my families business and the business...
Read moreThis location is going downhill extremely fast. Every time I come in in the last 2 months, which, between myself and my husband, we are at this location multiple times per day. We come to this specific location for a few of the staff whom we have known for several years. From what I have gathered, Seerani is a manager. I'm not sure why, as I have never seen this woman do anything that a manager should be doing. At the very least, she should smile. I've never seen her smile. She looks like she hates her job and everyone that comes into the establishment, and she can't even manage to properly make my bacon and egg sandwich. Then there is Arshpreet, who, like her manager, completely hates her life, and everyone that walks in is a complete and udder nuisance. She has gotten my order wrong EVERY TIME I've had her. To the point now, she won't call on me if I'm next in line. This is absolutely unacceptable!! Not to mention the wait times have TRIPLED! Doesn't matter what time of day you go.
There are 3 of your staff left that are competent and deserve raises for the poor working conditions these dead weight staff members are causing. Denise, Josh, and Suzanne are working tirelessly to make up for the lazy new staff, and they are absolutely the best staff you have left. Please do better and appreciate them!!!
Update April 2024 Since my original review, there have been noticeable improvements from Arshpreet. Thank you!! The manager however, took it upon herself to approach my husband about the review I wrote and make several inappropriate comments. At the time, he didn't know that I had wrote the review. How she knew this was my husband, I'm not sure. I'm assuming she looked up my name on Facebook. This is absolutely unprofessional, inappropriate and extremely invasive. Reviews are there to let the owners know what's happening in the store when they aren't there. How dare you allow this from your staff. Absolutely appalling from a MANAGER!
Also, I would like to mention, Navjot, Sheetal, Sam & Diane are incredible. I can always count on great service from them and the other staff members I mentioned above. Thank you for making my days and...
