Chez Victor Lévis — Restaurant in Lévis

Our hotel was across the street, and we wanted a late lunch. Decor is okay, it would have been "wow" in 2005, but you can tell it won't last, like the plastic chairs that feel like patio furniture. Super friendly staff, service was impeccable - it was late afternoon so not busy. We split a classic cheeseburger with bacon and fries with a homemade smokey ketchup. It was good, but I think the fries were leftovers from the lunch rush. But it was fine. Boreale beers on tap, with a few bottles from local breweries. A bit pricey even for an upscale burger joint. One burger split in two, one cocktail and a pint of beer set us back almost 60$ with tax and tip. Yikes, but...

We recently visited Chez Victor as a group of seven. Most of us enjoyed burgers and poutine. The food was great with various options, and the ambiance was pleasant.

However, we had an unfortunate experience with the service. While I was still eating and conversing with my friends, the waitress took away my plate of fries without checking if I was done. A similar thing happened to one of my friends as well. It felt quite disrespectful and abrupt, especially as we were still clearly engaged with our meals.

This place is supposed to be a higher scale burger place. There is nothing extraordinary or even really good about the food. We ordered burgers. The burger was smaller than expected, which would have been fine if it was flavorful, but it wasn’t. The fries were just simple fries, also not very flavorful either.
