I've been a fan of their pizza for years. I've always ordered the pizza with a 50/50 mix of regular and hot sauce. Yesterday, with my usual order they decided to just charge me as though I had ordered extra sauce. I was explicit, "not extra sauce, just a mix". I always order EXTRA Peperoni as well, so i know what extra is. The sauce mix has never been an "extra", as it's just a mix of the two choices they have. The waitress understood the order. Apparently it's a "new policy" to just charge for the sauce mix as an "extra". I guess that explains why the pizza was a soggy mess with too much sauce. Nothing was said when i was ordering. I find this out at the bill. I hate to be a Kranky Karen, but the upcharge was just ridiculous. Mentioning this to the waitress, she just cited "new policy following instruction from the owner sine last week". Well Mr.Owner, you've just earned yourself a 1 star review. And you've lost yourself a dedicated customer.
A dozen years ago your pizza was thick with peperoni. After years of thinning that out I had to start ordering it with "extra peperoni". Not really a problem... but honestly half the time it's really not worth the "extra" and it seems like your kitchen staff just throw in a few extra slices. This was just the last straw. Restaurants are hurting, and it's always the fault of greedy owner policies. I didn't order extra sauce... just a mix of the...
Read moreHi. Is the second time that I visited the restaurant, the food is great, yesterday I was a bit upset, please don't jump over me due to my comments. All was good we enjoyed the food. almost hundred dollar the bill before another order for delivery, that is normal. wen waiter (Julianne according to the invoice) passed me the machine the options for the tip were there as usual. I chose 10% tip, her attitude change and immediately told me in front of my Family "NEXT TIME YOU MUST TO GIVE 15%,,,, THAT IS MY SALARY" I am not complaining for that value. My question is if the owner of the place is not paying Salary. and if is that mandatory they have 2 options, remove the options from the payment machine or increase the price of the plate, that way have money to pay the salary. The service was ok. I know people work hard, work on holydays but I think that is not the way to impose to a customer the tip, can't be an obligation, the restaurants can't pay the minimum for the hour and tell their employees that with the tips they will take the rest of the salary. Get paid well, pay fairly, the tips are extra. This way the employees will not have to directly tell the client to pay them their salary, I had an unpleasant time. Please understand my position before...
Read moreI used to love Como Pizzeria, however they've recently changed their boxes and they now have a strong chemical smell and the pizza ends up tasting this way.
This evening for the second time I had this issue. We specifically asked the people when we ordered to make sure this was not the case. When the pizza arrived it smelled the same again. I contacted the store and they told me there was nothing they could do, and to call Jessica back tomorrow to talk to her about it.
I decided to leave it be, ate half my pizza, threw the other half out and I figured I would speak with Jessica tomorrow.
20 minutes later, Jessica calls me and tells me that a driver is on the way to get the pizza. This was completely news to me. Apparently the other "manager" told me that they'd send someone to pick up the pizza if I wanted a refund.
At this point, Jessica and Como Pizzeria will not do anything for me. A word of warning for all customers, their new boxes have an issue and you should be aware of it. This may be only for the small boxes, but be warned.
Jessica and Como Pizzeria, I am going to be calling my bank and contesting these charges on Monday morning. This is not acceptable...
