Aux Lubies Gourmandes — Restaurant in Lachute

WHAT A FIND!!! My two sons and I happened upon this place by accident and are so glad we did. My 18 yo son and I both rank this as one of the best dining experiences we have EVER had (and we eat out quite a bit). We got the paninis (eggplant for me, porchetta for 18 yo, chicken for 21 yo) with the Tuscan salads. So delicious - fresh, simple enough to let the ingredients shine through but expertly prepared. We finished with the sugar pie and a date square which all agreed we’re fabulous. Beyond the wonderful food, the experience was wonderful. The owners/hosts made us feel like we had been invited into their own home for a social meal. They were so welcoming and friendly, and brought us so many samplings of wonderful things to try that they sell in their adjoining store. We bought three bottles of maple water, pistachio cream and hazelnut cream to take back to the US with us to remember this experience. We would love to return anytime we are in the area.
