Ladysmith Dairy Queen just called me a liar! I am so hurt to be treated like this. Thursday I bought a cake for Criag's birthday the next day. Had a small family gathering Friday night for dinner, and the grandkid's favorite part a birthday cake. I served it to the kids first and they dug right into it. As the adults started to eat it we noticed there was something wrong. The chocolate part of the cake tasted sour. We stopped the kids from eating anything more and threw away the served portions and kept what was left to take back. I took it back the following day and was very rudely told she could do nothing about it and the manager would call me. She took the cake, and I went home. Monday, I had still not heard from anyone, so I popped in after work. I spoke with the very nice assistant manager, and he said he would go upstairs and talk to the manager. He came back and said the manager had decided that since I never brought back all the cake, they couldn't do anything. So, in other words the manager doesn't think I am telling the truth. The manager would not come out and talk to me and I wasn't about to take it out on the assistant manager that did not make the decision so I could do no more. There went $40 into the garbage and a birthday party with no cake!
I cannot believe this is the kind of customer service the manager thinks is ok. I have lived in Ladysmith for 30+ years and have never been so insulted by a local business. I will never step foot in the place and will continue to tell this story. Please share this for me and let me know if you have had a bad experience with them. I will also be writing a letter to corporate office. After sending this review it told me to go to https://bit.lyl2FuhYFG which takes you to a site that is unavailable....

I came to your drive thru to order a milkshake and understood my vehicle is a little noisy but not anywhere near as loud as the truck in front of me. Even turned my engine off and was screamed at and a door slammed in my face. I then asked to speak to the manager and was screamed at for asking to talk to the manger of the person who was screaming at me. Apparently she is the supervisor? I was told it was confidential and screamed at while not being able to even speak while trapped in the drive thru. Then told to leave because I politely said that is not how you treat people, then the window violently slammed in my face after being told to leave.
I will never return to any Dairy Queen and will share this with all my friends. I'm making a formal complaint at the head office and a human rights complaint. No person should be subjected to abuse for asking a question, if you cannot keep your cool, especially around family's and children then you should not be working in public service. Watch your video, it was clear as day to all the children and people in the restaurant who...
Read moreMy mum ordered a cake for my son's birthday next week. Unfortunately, it was not as expected. It was on theme (Fortnite), but there was zero colour on the cake. Fortnite is a colourful game, so not sure why that was especially considering it's a child's cake. My mum had called and spoken to a kind employee who booked her back in to have it fixed up. She received a call back from a manager who was rude and wouldn't even let my mum speak. The artist also spoke to her and wasn't overly nice either, I guess her feelings were hurt. They tried to blame my mum for not asking for specific colours. My mum has never ordered a cake from DQ before, she wasn't asked any questions about the colours or design at the time of ordering. My mum didn't complain about the cake artist, she wasn't rude or expecting a refund or anything other than changing the icing on the cake. They are making a new cake and getting it done quickly, which I appreciate. But the way the situation was handled was not professional at all. I understand if the customer is being hostile, but my mum was not and she was...
