Sushi Wara — Restaurant in Ladysmith

I am thoroughly disappointed. We just moved in down the road and are sushi fanatics. We were so excited there was a place nearby that had a 4+ star rating. Sadly, everything is so sweet! The rice, the mayo, you name it. There was a blonde server with glasses helping us. I hate to say it, but it was the worst customer service I’ve ever had. My roll came with sweet mayo sauce, which I specified I wanted without. When our server mentioned it to management, they would do nothing about it. On top of that, they threw away the other half of my roll that I asked to be packed up. When I went to ask where the roll went, the girl said she threw it away. While I was politely saying I was feeling rather disappointed with my first experience there, the girl ignored me and walked away. It will no longer be our first time eating there, it will be our last.

Farm salmon and fake crab. When you are a sushi place and you can see the ocean from your restaurant. Its only right you serve real food. Moving on. I Went in for some sushi to go. Ordered a combo comes with soup so decided to eat the soup and have tea to kill some time. Rather then have hot soup in the car. I get the bill pay cash as we wait my friend asks for tea cup. Just before our bill come up they hand us another bill for the tea cup and say its charge per cup. I should have took the tip out and handed it to her but they sent a different server so i would have made 2 wrongs. All in all it was rather odd considering i had already paid and tipped for my food to nickel and dime me 2 bucks for a cup. I found it really weird if i could they would get negitive 4 review. I am 100% a sushi lover and when i say that Sushi Wara Was absolute BEST sushi restaurant I've been to, i am not lying. Beautiful and delicious sushi that is SO worth trying. I am so grateful they had vegetarian options that were so DELICIOUS. including soups, tempuras, sushi rolls and combos. The staff were incredibly kind to adults and children. There was one lady in particular who showed the kids how to use the utensils and explained how the soup can be hot sometimes and that it's best to wait a bit for it to cool down before digging in. they have different meals that range from 6$-20$ a person.
