I recently had the pleasure of dining at Subcity Donair, and I must say it was an absolute delight! I think it’s very important to speak up about positive experiences so that others know just what a hidden gem this place is. I visited with my Husband and two daughters yesterday on our way home from Kelowna. This was our very first time. From the moment I stepped through the door, the enticing aroma of sizzling meat and savory spices enveloped me, instantly whetting my appetite. We decided on the large beef and chicken Donairs accompanied by their fries with secret sauce. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a touch of rustic charm. I noticed the prep area was very clean, tidy and well organized. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and were incredibly attentive throughout the visit. Their knowledge and passion for donairs shone through as they guided us through the menu, ensuring we made the most satisfying choices. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the donairs! I also have to mention they hand make a very special sauce called Toum. It’s a very well known garlic sauce that absolutely shines when it’s added to any donair. After speaking to the owner Dariusz, I was blown away by the level of knowledge and kindness this man possesses. He takes the utmost pride in this restaurant, I find this level of dedication refreshing in a sea of others who don’t seem to care. At Subcity it’s very evident, they’re going the extra mile to ensure the finest quality for their customers. The portions were incredibly generous, ensuring that every visit leaves you feeling fully satisfied.

Lastly, I have to mention the prices they are more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. They offer excellent value for money, making it a go-to spot for a quick and satisfying meal. In conclusion, Subcity is most definitely a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it receives. There I was, hungry but not too hungry, the kind kind of hunger that only a large order of onion rings can sequester.

The gal behind the counter was pleasant enough, likely a shareholder in the enterprise, but I digress.

A young male works there with longer blonde hair and he is so friendly and even memorizes most of our order even though it's a bit unusual as I have sweet potatoe fries instead of the regular fries.
