Update Sept 2023 Prices have gone up a bit, but still great value. We stopped in Aug 19th for a couple steaks, which were good but a little over cooked.
Update Jan 2023 Had the 7 oz steak and fries, steaks were cooked perfectly, fries were bomb service was fast and friendly. A little put off by the old lady who told us it would be an hour and a half wait, when clearly there were lots of tables finishing in the next 20 minutes.
Update Sept 2022
This time we had the 10 oz strip loin steak, was cooked perfectly, great flavor, super tender. Great job!

Update July 2022 Stopped in for dinner and had the 7 oz steaks and fries. Service was fast and friendly, steaks were cooked perfectly and served quickly. Great job! ---‐--‐---------- Original Review Overall great experience! Started out poorly, we waited to be seated for about 5 minutes and no one was at the door and there where no signs to wait, so we seated ourselves on the patio.
I asked a server that was walking past if it was OK, and she said "sure just let them know inside", which I did when I finally found a large older guy, who scolded me for seating ourselves, "next time wait to be seated, you're supposed to wait"... and when I pointed out that there was no sign and no one around, he said "I was standing right here"... 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Clearly you were not, otherwise you'd have seen us and seated us, and we wouldn't have had to ask a passing server.
Thankfully our server was great, and the food was great and served quickly. Steak was super value and cooked perfectly. Get rid of the out of season corn, it's flavorless. Montreal smoked meat sandwich was fantastic, piled high, and the kids cheeseburger was also perfect. Don't bother with the garlic cheese bread, not good, very dry inside, just basically a large dry bun with some garlic butter and cheese on top. Imagine a hamburger bun with some cheese stuck to the top.
We will definitely be back, as long as the grumpy old guy at the door checks...
Read moreSmaller-sized dining area, so I saw several potential customers walk away. The music was waaayy too loud which caused patrons to speak even louder to be heard. This caused a rather unpleasant din. I ordered a grilled chicken club sandwich and side Caesar salad. Didn’t like the texture of the chicken; taste was okay, nothing to write home about. Bread was super greasy (admittedly, I do have an issue with food grease…) and I was constantly wiping and longing for a finger bowl. My fellow diners said that today’s meals were not as good as their previous two trips (this was my first trip.). Our server was very good, very attentive, and proactively managed our meal (asking about refills &c.). Upon receiving our bill, we noticed an additional fee, a 3% surcharge termed, “Honest To Goodness Fee.” We asked our server what it meant, and she said that she has a difficult time explaining it, and instead directed us to the drinks menu. The gist of this surcharge is that the prices of their food is lower than “the competition,” and that they “need to add 3% to all prices” to keep the prices low. Have to admit I was stunned by this and rather displeased. Why am I subsidizing meals for other diners? Apparently, this fee is all for “the greater good.” This has “Friedrich Engels” or “Karl Marx” written all over it, maybe even both of them, I’m not sure. And how do you tag on 3% without telling folk upfront? How many potentials you figure, once seated, would walk over 3%?! It’s like they hope no one notices, looking only at the...
Read moreIt’s the first time I write a negative review but we just had a horrible experience at Grand Bend location. After waiting for more than 30 min. for a table, we were seated indoors beside a window. Had a great and professional server: Jess, who was very pleasant, answered our questions and took our orders; few minutes later we asked Jess if we can move to a patio table because there was a terrible strong smell at our table and because we had originally asked for a patio table, given Jess’s amazing customer service she said we can move to the patio and said my mom can have her cup of water with her. On our way to the patio, we were shocked by the RUDENESS we experienced by the person “responsible” for seating customers who spoke in an unacceptable manner to say “she’s the one responsible for saying if we can move to another table and not Jess” she spoke badly about Jess and said she doesn’t know anything, she even was extremely rude to my 80 yrs old mom and said “you’re not allowed to have the glass of water outside here”. She punished us by saying: you can go back inside to your table or otherwise you have to go on the wait list again as if we just walked-in. We decided to leave because of this unacceptable behaviour. This 'person who is “responsible for seating customers” is rude, unprofessional, doesn’t understand what customer service is and if she’s that rude to the customer, she must be a hell to the team. We Will never go back to this location and will never...
