Best Friend Pizza — Restaurant in Lambton Shores

We don’t normally stick around for dinner in Grand Bend, but after a fun day at the beach, we were hungry and came here for dinner. So glad we did! Friends had eaten at Best Friend Pizza earlier, and eagerly shared what they’d ordered, so we did the same. The standout item was the Rockaway pizza. Thin crust, good amount of toppings & cheese, and a great flavour to their red sauce. We also had the chicken carbonara penne, which had a great ratio of pasta to chicken & bacon to sauce. It was even better reheated in the air fryer the next day! By that time, the pasta and flavours have had a chance to meld and soak into the pasta. So yummy. The Parmesan fries were skin-on, appeared to be freshly cut, and fried to a perfect burnished gold, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We only ordered one serving, and were reaching over each other to get “just one more”.

It’s a place where you walk in and seat yourself for the outdoor patio. The one minor hiccup was that all vacant tables were still soiled by previous diners when we arrived, so we sat and waited for a bit before someone came by to clean the table. Once past that little hurdle, the rest of dinner was good.

Our server was great. She was friendly yet efficient, and had great timing. Drinks, food and even our bill appeared at the right times, with check-ins well spaced. We had a couple more people join us after we’d already ordered, and their food came out just a blip of time after ours did.

It was a weeknight eve, after the dinner rush, so the vibe was pretty chill.

We were on the beach all day in Grand Bend, and decided to go eat at about 7 pm. Went down the strip and every restaurant had a 45 min wait, so we got to Best Friend Oizza and they got us seats at the bar while we waited for a table, which took 1/2 hour. We got a table outside which is always nice, we ordered 2 plates of chicken parm, one for each of us and a side order of honey garlic wings. Took a long time to get our order in and long time to get it. Food was great once we got it. The chicken parm meals were huge, next time we will order one for the 2 of us, came with 2 pieces of chicken, she could even finish hers, so had to wait again for a take out container. My family and I didn’t even get our food. We were on a time crunch and we waited ONE HOUR for our drinks. We saw everyone else that came AFTER us get served and we just sat there waiting like fools. We FINALLY got our drinks and waited some more and watched ANOTHER table that came AFTER us get their food. We understand that they were understaffed, but to see everyone else get their food was disappointing. Not to mention the parking cost for two hours is $16 which was a complete waste seeing as we did not even get a chance to eat. After bringing up how we were going to just leave the server tried charging us for the food that we did not even get. So we paid for the overpriced drinks and left.
