Whitecaps Rivershack — Restaurant in Lambton Shores

None existent customer service. Five of us went here for lunch. Three of us got lunch half hour later, the rest of two waited for a hour for a simple shrimp wrap and a pound of chicken wings. The first time we asked where is the rest of food, the answer was five more minutes. The second time we asked, the answer was I am sorry we got busy as they were serving other table who came after us. The third time we asked, my husband saw the guy brought the ingredients in the store for the wrap. All these time they didn't bother to tell us they didn't have the ingredients to make the food. There is a reason they asked you to paid up front because they don't care about what happened after you paid. My shrimp wrap, overe cooked fries and warm wings were rushed out. If you can't make the food, at least have the courtesy to let your customers know instead of keeping them in the dark. We are tourists might not return in the future, but a business needs a good reputation...

I drove two hours to come to the Bend. I use to live there and often would eat at what once was Purdy’s Fish. I was sorry to see that it is no longer Purdy’s, but thought i would try this place being as i was there. HORRIBLE! The fish was so covered in greasy batter that I had to take the batter off. Then I tasted my pickerel, it was not a fresh piece of fish. It tasted old and fishy. I did not finish the meal. I left and drove home with a terrible stomach ache. Never will I ever eat there again, nor will I recommend anyone to visit this establishment. The only good thing about it was being able to sit by the river and watch the action. P.S. Also waited 25 minuets for my meal and there was no one there. Should have been...

Went to Whitecaps on a Saturday for dinner after a show at the Huron County Playhouse and I couldn't get into a restaurant because I underestimated the number of people that would be in town and didn't make a reservation. Anyway, she wanted lake fish and they had that. There was a lot of grease on the plate and she was feeling that all night but said the fish was good. I had a Buffalo chicken wrap and although it was not something I would normally get and it had onions on it which I never eat raw, it was actually quite good and the fries were good also. Not a lot of bees/wasps there, which was also great. Not a lot of selection on the menu but I would still say it's not a bad place to go. The prices were not higher...
