My partner and I went there to check this place out as we heard good things. The atmosphere was good, very pleasant and nicely decorated.

There was a wide array of pastries and chocolates to pick from but I'm assuming they are all shipped in and not made in house. That sort of loses some points for me, not like other places like Caffeine & Co or The Iron Kettle which makes everything there and you can see it happen.

The biggest issue we had was that we noticed that the lady (assuming manager as she wasn't wearing a black uniform) was preparing food without washing her hands. We noticed her blow her nose with a paper towel and used that same paper towel to wipe down the counter. After that we still saw her wipe her nose with her hand and went right to preparing food. We continued to watch her as she prepared the food and noticed she as putting small pieces of food into her mouth while preparing the food. Not sure if her hand touched her mouth during the process but it appeared to from our vantage point.

The lack of washing her hand doesn't make me want to go back nor does it make me want to recommend...

This was my first time visiting Leonidas Chocolates Café today.

On the positive side, the coffee was well done and tasted excellent, the caramel cake was fresh and flavorful, and the Earl Grey tea was enjoyable. The young lady serving us was very friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made the service experience pleasant.

However, I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the café. For a place that presents itself as a high-end coffee shop, the standards of hygiene were not where they should be. The tableware had visible stains — the tea cup, coffee glass, and cake plate were not spotless — and there were fingerprints and dust that gave the impression the café has not been properly cleaned in some time. On top of that, the washroom was very dirty, which added to the overall feeling that cleanliness is not being taken seriously here.

While the quality of the drinks, dessert, and service was good, I believe more attention to cleanliness and upkeep — both in the café area and facilities — is absolutely necessary to match the level of experience expected from such an...
