Le Boating Club — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

Extremely DISAPPOINTED with this restaurant. This used to be one of my favorite places to go enjoy good meal, until now.... Yesterday, someone special to me and myself came here for dinner. I ordered the steak and frites plate, ate less than half of it and requested it be packed to take home. Then, I'm informed that one of the employees threw it away!!! I was very upset and thought that the manager at the time would be helpful and understanding of the situation, especially considering it was less than half eaten and we just spent over 300$. The manager had NO customer service skills whatsoever and because apparently the kitchen was closed by that time, he decided to give a credit...... to MY SURPRISE he ONLY gave a 15$ credit!!!!!! He was extremely unhelpful and acted very synthetic!!! They obviously did not care at all about the situation or us as clients. It Ruined the time we spent here for dinner. We were Extremely disappointed and upset.

Unfortunately because of the terrible service provided from multiple employees, we will definitely no longer be coming here anymore!!!

I was honestly not expecting this type of treatment from that restaurant. Terrible!

Thank you for your reply, however you are completely misinformed of the actual situation.

First off I would like to remind you that my main plate was more that 30$ it was about 38+tax +tip(only 1 of the multiple dishes we ordered)

Secondly, why would one of your employees feel it necessary to remove a plate which like I said was LESS Than half eaten?? Especially without having spoken to the client who is PAYING for it? On top of that I had already inquired on having my food taken to be packed to go. At that time of asking, my plate was still at my table in front of me. It was removed while I went to the washroom.

And lastly your manager was well aware that less than of of my plate was eaten because that is what I informed him of. I'm fully aware that you have ways to clearly understand the situation, so please do so. Like I said Extremely disappointed with the customer service standards and now seeing your response to my review(with surprise) has most definitely confirmed my opinion.

For a positive point the food was good as usual, until my main course was thrown away without my consent lol

I came to "Le Boating Club" for a work related X-mas supper on a Friday night (table of 12).

Overall, I enjoyed my experience. Service all night long was exceptional. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and consistently delivered all night long. I always expect service to be impacted when going to a resto with a group of significant size but I'd be glad to report they had no issues.

We had a variety of dishes and they were all good. Nothing really stood out for me to be amazing but they were all enjoyable. I had 3 pear cocktails, they however were delicious!

Le Boating Club has a huge bar and the bar scene starts to happen pretty early, as of 9 PM the bar was 5 bodies deep everywhere with ladies and gents chatting/flirting it up hard core. Some of the ladies here are coming in dressed for seduction, so gentlemen, mark your engines.

A few cons :

Parking is a nuisance, very small and they have a valet.

As the bar picks up, it gets VERY LOUD. You can barely hear anything distinct a few feet from you.

Nice place. Will be back one day...

Terrible. Horrible. Zero stars. There are so many other places you can spend your money. Do NOT come spend it here. Dégeulaaaasssssssse. The first time i ever came here i said; guys... Never again 30$ for 4 shrimps and a can of corn they clearly used for 3 other plates; at my own table. And then i made the mistake of going a second time. And this is where I choose to make it my mission to have anyone with common sense to choose to spend their money elsewhere.

Everything was fine, at first...... We spent easily a thousand dollars between 6 people.... And you try to wait in the bathroom line at 130 am and you're told by a doorman to GO PEE AT HOME. I swear. No word of a lie... In all my years I have never ever seen such a display of disregard for customer service. I am incredibly disgusted. You should be ashamed of yousrselves. Vous êtes absolument déplorable en tant qu'établissement. I hope you are ashamed of taking money from people who could spend...
